We spent 3 days during some hot August weather. The room was comfortably cool and quiet. The large pool area was great for afternoon cooling off. The hotel is almost on the lake and conveniently Minutes from restaurants, shops and the ferry service. Recommend walking or biking to Bardolino (about 45 minutes walking) along lakeside walkway. We preferred dinner in nearby quaint and quieter, Torri di Benaco. Suggest taking the ferry to Sirmione for few hours visit.

We stayed here for a week as a family. The staff from the word go were extremely helpful and friendly - particularly the concierge who showed us to our rooms.
Our rooms were large, well furnished and very clean. The hotel is perfectly located in Garda - extremely close to the lake but far enough to be very quiet in the rooms. The swimming pool was a great size and the large number of beds meant that we were never left with no where to sit.
Moreover, breakfast was great - both the food and the setting.
My only room for improvement was that the wifi across the hotel was a little slow - however this was minor.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Garda.

Having just returned from our stay at this lovely hotel just wanted to update people on how the food has changed from previous years. Hotel is very clean, pleasant staff, although no final goodbye or did you enjoy your stay with us or anything. We stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and food was served on silver platters. So expecting the same this year well that was a big shock. Main meal was a real let down. Fine dining I suppose with raw meat on two occasions with about 4 slice of potato no veggies or anything. Of course, you get the starter which is usually nice, a salad starter, then pasta dish then main course then sweet, but how the sweets have been cut back to what they were 10 years ago. I understand that because of the refurbishment the food has been reduced. What a disappointment. Two pianos situated in relaxing lounges but no one plays them. No entertainment. A gin tasting night if you paid apparently. Yes this was a hotel for older guests who want to relax have nice food, listen to light music, especially if they can't walk far. It is such a lovely base for walking down to edge of lake. We had a view of the car park but didn't really expect a view as we booked on web and not much choice. However, we enjoyed the Spa and pool outside as the weather was good to us. A lovely resort. Yes I agree with other comments rooms do look a bit tired and dark but on the whole that was fine just the food was my main disappointment for a 4 star.

Room tip: If you like fine dining then this is for you. However if you don't like the main course you will probably only be offered an omelette.

There really is nothing I can fault this hotel for. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff were friendly and obliging from reception, waiters, cleaners and bar staff. The room (404) we had was spacious and high quality with its own roof terrace. It had lake and surrounding countryside views. The en suite was excellent and pristine. The bed comfortable and relaxing. Air condition was efficient and welcoming with the temperature in the lates 20s. The location of the hotel was 2 minutes from the centre where all the shops, terrace bars and restaurants are located but far enough away to not hear a sound from them. The lakeside is 30 yards away which forms part of the promenade where local markets, film shows and a Fiat 500 rally was held during our stay. The breakfasts were to die for. The single best continental breakfast I have had anywhere. Cereals, juices, tea and coffee, meat and cheeses, fruit, pastries from the hotels own patisserie and wine, yes wine for breakfast. Totally superb throughout. The hotel has its own free car park if you hire a car or drive there and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and loads of seats to relax. The pool and bar beside are excellent with an attached jacuzzi. Sunbeds were always available and towels supplied by the poolside bar mean you don't need to take beach towels. We did not use the spa or inside pool.
Garda is a great central location to see the rest of the lake with regular ferries from the port in the town to other resorts on the lake.
I didn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant choosing to go into the town but if the dinners are anything like the breakfasts I am sure they will be excellent (4 courses for 30E with a different menu every night displayed in reception each morning).
In summary a great hotel and one I would definitely return to. 5 stars from me.

We recently returned from Garda after staying in this beautiful hotel for a week. I was accompanied by my wife and 3 daughters. This is a fantastic hotel that is run very professionally by a very friendly, helpful and attentive team of people. We stayed in 2 of the Junior suites and too be honest they were brilliant. The beds felt a little hard but were actually quite comfortable and everyone slept well. The rooms were cleaned daily by two very nice friendly ladies. The pool area is very well kept and clean and the pool is a good size for the hotel. It never felt cramped or overcrowded and is very private. The pool bar restaurant does nice lunches, nothing too excessive just the right size for middle of the day. The bar area in the hotel was quiet when we were there probably as most people are out on the town and we didnt use the spa or indoor pool. We didnt try the evening meals either as the kids always seemed to want to go down the town. We did have breakfast every morning and whilst the breakfasts were top quality a little change in what was on offer each morning would have been nice as it was the same breakfast choice every morning. The promenade and town are just a stroll away and as regards location I think this hotel is just spot on as the main road and bus station are just across the street. A special word of thanks to Natasha and Margaret at the front desk who were really helpful and to Alessandro and Angelo the concierges/drivers etc. Also thanks to Roberto the night porter who was always there to greet us with a smile and a joke. This is a great hotel and we would definitely stay here again.
