We have recently been to Villa Maria Giovanna, this was our second visit for my husband and myself, but a first for our two teenage daughters and our friends. Le signiori make you feel so welcome and they are so helpful I'v started to feel that when I am in Giardini Naxos I have another home. They go out of their way to help you and even presented us with delicious cannoli on our last day as a breakfast treat. These were done by Francesco himself. Our two teenage daughters loved their room. We had two downstairs room leading out to the large garden. The garden is enormous with ample parking space, hammocks, swings and benches and lots of shade. Since the weather was fine we had breakfast outside. A car is advisable since there is a half an hour walk to the Villa but if one decides to use the bus (which by the way are unreliable as we found out on our last day) there is a bus stop near I Gabbiani 5mins walk away.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have a balcony while downstairs rooms lead to the garden. All rooms have AC and doors...

Yesterday, my family and I (4 persons), together with another family of 4, returned from a pleasant holiday in Sicily. We spent the first 5 nights in Cefalu and the last 4 nights at Villa Maria Giovanna in Giardini Naxos. What strikes you, immediately as you enter through the gates, is the genuine warmth and hospitality radiating from Signor Francesco and Signora Maria Giovanna. They went out of their way to help us with our excursions, our eating arrangements and our relaxation in general. They were also very child-friendly.
Francesco, who speaks very good English, is a mine of valuable information on the best sites to visit and how to get there, the best value-for-money restaurants in the area, and the best parking spots. He also has a sharp and witty sense of humour which spiced up our conversations.
The breakfast was abundant with irresistible fresh bread and croissants, a selection of delicious Sicilian sweet pastry and cakes, cracker bread, cereals, exquisite home-made jams, coffee, teas and fruit juices, served in the patio next to an impeccably-kept very large (and I mean very large) garden full trees, flowers, birds and rabbits. There is also a small car park within it.
Our room, on the first floor, was large with 1 double bed, 2 bunk beds and one single bed, a bathroom and a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and in full view of the majestic Mount Etna. It was very clean and tidied up every day by the maid. The common areas downstairs were likewise very tidy and elegantly decorated. A this at very reasonable rates.
There is a large supermarket ( I Gabbiani) just 7 minutes away and an interesting street market on Saturdays just 5 minutes away.
Since this residence is about 30 minutes by walk from the Lungomare, which is the seashore area where you find most of the shops and restaurants, a small car is recommended for moving around, near and far, at leasure. Our impression, through personal experience, is that public transport is very unreliable in Sicily.
I would recommend Villa Maria Giovanna to all my family and friends.

Room Tip: The Family Room with balcony over the garden, with Etna to its right is Heavenly.

This is a lovely place to stay. When you first arrive you may doubt yourself as you drive down the road but when the b&b opens the gates to you and the groves become on show you will have a most welcome surprise. The hosts were amazing and treated us like family. They went out of their way to be helpful. We would definately stay there again and would say to anyone, couples, families, groups that this is a great place to stay. Take cash as they are cash only for payment.

Brilliant b&b and really helpful hosts. Tucked away and very private. We would definately stay there again and would not hesitate in recomending it to others. The rooms were very clean and the standard throughout the hotel was first rate. Breakfast coffee was fantastic and the homemade lemon jam is recommended

We just have returned from our holiday in Sicily. We stayed our first week in this excellent, delightful B&B. It was really unforgettable holiday and first of all thanks to this great family B&B with a super hosts. If I would say a very friendly and helpful hosts, I would say nothing! Signor Francesco, Signora Maria Giovanna, Emanuele and Gabriel are so kind, open, very hospitable and trully good-hearted people. We felt a part of the family and we were always welcome. Even on the family birthday party with a great food and drinks. Nothing was too much trouble for them. From the very beginning we were greeted with drinks while we checked in, later signor Francesco took us on a tour of the hotel and Giardini Naxos itself. He explained about the most beautiful and intresting places we need to see. The room was great, spacious and very clean and the bathroom as well (they cleaned up every day). We also had a balcony, from which we could enjoy an outstanding vieuw at the Etna Mount and green garden of this B&B. Every morning we had a very nice breakfast on the terras. What a wonderful experience to wake up with a cup coffee in the beautiful garden looking at Etna! Hotel has a free Wi-Fi connection. The beach is only 5-7 minutes walking distance from the hotel. . All was simply perfect! I will definitely come back if I will have a chance!!! I could not dream about better place and better holiday!!! Dear Signor Francesco and all your family, we would like to thank you for everything! Grazie mille!!!!!
Best wishes from The Netherlands!

I stayed here at this excellent BnB for three nights with my parents and I have to say that it has been such a pleasant experience to stay there. Our hosts Francesco and Maria Giovanna are a sheer delight and we really enjoyed their company. Highly recommended to any travelers who want to stay out of the tourist zones. Only thing is that you need a car to make it easier to get to. Can't say more but that it's fantastic and you should definitely stay there for a relaxing trip.

Villa Maria Giovanna was definately one of the best B&B we have ever been to! A great, clean house, big rooms, a fantastic view from the terrasse and a lovely garden. Additionally, infrastructure is fantastic: short ways to the beaches and to all interesting places to see at Sicilian East cost. But most important, Maria Giovanna and her team are sooo lovely! They helped wherever they could and supported us with fantastic ideas. Thank you for this beautiful stay! We will come back!!!! Best wishes, Mareike & Patrick
