I stayed here with my husband and 2 children, we stayed in the villettes in the gardens. From the time we arrived we were wisked by golf buggy to our villette which was in quiet well kept gardens and the size of the rooms were good with a fridge and air con all well maintained. Dont be put off by the size of Naxos Beach Resort with 4 swimming pools, there was always plenty of room around the pool with available sun beds. The whole area in resort is clean and well kept. The best bit was the food as I'm fussy I'm always a bit apprehensive at first but the choice of food each day is very good and very delicious! A good choice of salads, pastas, cooked meats, cold meats, fish, seafood, breads, cheeses, vegetables some Sicilian dishes and a choice of Italian desserts. You get a choice of red, rose or white wine and bottled water with your evening meal. One evening a week dinner is in the garden. This was fab with Mount Etna in the background. All staff was cheerful, in evening provided entertainment for younger children. Good location on beach front but beach is all pebbles and quite hard to walk on. Its not the place if your looking for nightlife and discos. About a 20min walk is a sandy beach in Giardini Naxos with lots of cafes & bars. All in all we all enjoyed our holiday very much at Naxos Beach , sunny hot weather , good food good surroundings and comfy clean beds!

We stayed at this hotel in early June. We were on a half board package in the garden Villettes booked through Thomas Cook. The hotel is situated on the beach in the Recanati area of Giardini Naxos about 25 minutes walk from the main resort (which is no great shakes but worth the walk at least once). Recanati itself consists of hotels, restaurants and just a few shops and is also not much to write home about. However the hotel is at the end of a narrow street, set in beautiful, spacious grounds and well away from roads etc. so is a relatively peaceful oasis. There are ample free sunbeds and brollies around the two pools one of which is Olympic size. In contrast the sunbeds and umbrellas on the private beach have to be paid for. The nearer the front you are the more you pay. The beach is grey shingle so flip flops are required.

Check in was easy and we were driven to our Villette in a golf buggy although in fact it was not far to walk. At check in we were allocated a restaurant (there are two buffet style + an a la carte - extra cost) where we took all our meals. In the room, the beds were comfortable, there was adequate storage space and, unusually, lots of hangers. There was also a free safe. The shower room was not particularly large but adequate. Water was hot and plentiful. Bath towels were large and soft and there was a supply of shampoo etc. Above all the air conditioning worked.

We enjoyed the food which was buffet style. You could eat as much as you wanted from a choice of salad, pasta, soup 3 hot meals (two meats, one carved fresh, and fish). There was also an extensive dessert table plus a choice of 4 to 6 types of fresh fruit every night. An added bonus was a free bottle of table wine and water per table which saved us a lot of money. Breakfast consisted of both hot and cold foods.

The animation (entertainment) team were a group of extremely friendly youngsters who had various entertainment going during the day. We did not participate so I cannot comment. They also put on an outdoor show every evening except Sunday when a very good dance band was employed. As the guests came from many different countries, the entertainment, especially the jokes, had to be visual and was a bit hit and miss at times but it was at least family entertainment. There was also a pianist (electric piano with own accompaniment) in the main hotel bar most nights for those who prefer more comfortable surroundings.

The hotel ran its own free bus to the bottom of the cable car to Taormina which is walking distance to Isola Bella but for Taormina we found it easier and more scenic to get the local bus up (Euros2.50 return). The short cable car ride costs E3.50 return. It was also possible to get a connecting bus to Castelmola in Taormina. We also visited Alcantara Gorge on the bus but beware the buses are infrequent so check your return time before you go.

Outside the hotel the first restaurant on the right does a good lunch for a reasonable price. There is also a Europa Car hire office nearby and Avis a bit further. However, car hire is expensive if booked locally so plan ahead and book through a broker in the UK.

All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

We booked this hotel independently (not through a tour operator). We were told we had to pay a mandatory entertainment fee upon arrival, pay extra for the cot, even though the booking clearly stated we had a 1 year old. We were told they expected the baby to sleep between the parents. We also had to have a doctors certificate for the kids club to certify they were not ill. The resort doctor did see them for a fee of E30,00. None of this was published on the websites. There was no tea/coffee making facilities and no information on the area or hotel in the room. The room was also a bit cramped with 4 of us in it. Having said all that we did have a good time, the weather was good, the pools were great, the sea and beach were lovely although you had to pay for a towel and a lounger. The buffet breakfast was adequate but certainly not 4 star and the dinner buffet was good if you wanted a quick filling meal like we did with 2 small kids. I think that if you go with a tour operator you will get much more out of your stay.

We have just come back from a week in Sicily and found the hotel to be very pleasant. Although the hotel was only offerering limited facilities, as advised by the tour operator, there was two swimming pools open and one restaurant and bar.

Check in was seamless and friendly and the hotel room (garden room) was fine. We were half board, and by the end of the week we were a little tired of the food, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. La Spelonca (sp?) was lovely on Via Recanati.

As we were leaving, most of the facilities were beginning to open and they had entertainment starting.

Having not been to Sicily before myself and my party were really looking forward to this holiday. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were efficient and very helpful and within 10 minutes of arriving we were in our villette. This was very comfortable with TV, phone air con - fridge and safe all at no extra cost. The rooms were cleaned daily and to a high standard - new bedlinen and towels every other day unless otherwise requested.

The food in the restaurant of a morning was exceptional with a choice of both hot and cold and suitable for every diet. Of an evening the food was again exceptional and varied in choice. The deserts were something to die for but plenty of fruit for those who could resist. THE MOST SURPRISING WAS THAT WITH DINNER THE WINE AND WATER WERE FREE WITH A CHOICE OF RED, WHITE OR ROSE AND STILL OR SPARKLING WATER.

The hotel complex had something for everyone and even though the weather was a little indifferent with rain each day for a short while the daily temperature was still hot.

The free shuttle bus to and from the hotel to the cable car for Tiormina was great and we experienced this a few times. This also allowed you to visit Isola Bella which was only a short walk from the cable car

Overall we had a great stay and would certainly recommend the Naxos resort to both families and couples.

Stayed here for a week in August - very, very hot! We were a wedding party of 7 adults and 6 children aged 18 months to 8 years. We absolutely loved the Naxos Beach hotel and found lots to do for all ages.
Food was excellent, buffet style with loads of choice. Accommodation in Garden Villettes was fine - cleaned daily, excellent (and free) air conditioning, some outside space, with a bonus view of Mount Etna thrown in. There is a free shuttlebus to/from lovely Taormina 6 times a day.
The owners clearly take great pride in the hotel. There are always staff around keeping the gardens and public areas spic and span. We found all of the staff to be very professional and friendly and nearly all of them spoke English.
The (free) childrens' clubs were very good and the nightime entertainment was always fun, and sometimes spectacular.
Going in August presents its problems as it is extremely hot (up to 43 degrees!) and the area is busy. But it does mean that you get the full entertainment programme for the kids and this is well worth considering.
Perhaps not the place for a couple to enjoy a quiet, sophisticated break, but great for families and groups. And Taormina is a beautiful place for a wedding!!

We have just returned from a wonderful week spent at the Naxos Beach Resort. I have to say that after several dodgy holidays in the past, I always check out the hotels on trip advisor first and we weren't disappointed with this one! It has everything and the food is first class. We stayed in the villetes which are spotlessly clean and well maintained and yes, the walls are paper thin but we requested a top floor room on booking and that cut out a lot of noise from above...

If you have young children, the resort has a very well managed and equiped baby/mini club and the team of child minders seem lovely and look to really enjoy what they are doing.

The entertainment team are very young and very glamorous and all look as though they love working there, although the evening entertainment left a lot to be desired and we didn't find it worth staying in for preferring to get the bus up to beautiful Taormina after dinner instead.

We would have no problems recommending this hotel.
