Very lovely place at extremely reasonable rates. If you look for a place to easily access Taormina but want to be right on the Mediterranean, this is where you should stay. Superior rooms are on the top floor with wonderful sun rises. Water pressure in the shower proved to be a problem at most of the places we stayed in Sicily but luckily not at Villa Mora. Regular bus service to Taormina in immediate vicinity.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor

I can't praise enough the friendliness of the owners and the staff that made me feel at home during the 3 days spent there. The staff speaks several languages including English, German and French. The hotel is conveniently located right in center town and across the street from the beach. Reaching Taormina is very easy by bus (20 minutes ride) with a stop located just a 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door, it's better than the average continental breakfast you usually find in Italy (coffee and pastries), there's a bit of variety: cold cuts, yogurt, juices, hard boiled eggs, etc.
The prices are very reasonable for such a nice location. I would definitely stay here again and again.

Villa Mora is a few steps back from the sea-front promenade and has generous public rooms on the ground floor that project the owner's sense of style and artistic taste, surrounding the visitor with paintings, sculptures and other artifacts. In contrast my room was plain and functional, but also clean and comfortable. With helpful staff on hand, this B&B hotel offers good value in a great location. One warning: parking can be a challenge, but can be found at higher levels away from the sea front.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 25 years. It's a sweet place, across from the beach and main street in Giardini Naxos and down the hill from Taormina. The owners are lovely and always helpful. The location is perfect. It always feels like home.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony. It overlooks the main street and beach.

Very special atmosphere - attractive and welcoming owners, brilliant location, authentic (vintage) style. I liked everything! Very convinient public transport, 5 minutes walk to the beach and promenade, shops, restaurants, etc.
Just one problem - no fridge in the room...

Room Tip: Choose room with balcony!

Using the Trivago search site, we obtained an excellent deal through venere.com which was about £50 per room per night for B&B. For this price you don't expect 4* quality but we had a lovely stay nonetheless. We had a comfortable room with adequate drawer and hanging space; the aircon worked well. There was no view, but you pay extra for a better room with a view. Breakfast was continental style and the plates of ham and cheese were topped up regularly. The lady owner comes over a little brusque at first but is friendly and helpful when you get to know her; it also means that the cleaners do their job thoroughly! The young receptionist is delightful and nothing is too much trouble for her. The hotel is in a superb position and there are dozens of restaurants in both directions a short walk from the door. There is a bus service to the railway station from where cheap trains run north and south. Negatives: our room was on the third floor and there is no lift and no-one to help carry luggage. Also, it takes a while for the hot water to reach this high some mornings. Parking in the free blue-lined spaces can be tricky: try to arrive after people have left the beach at 5pm. However we found a free space nearby every day after no more than three circuits round the block. There is a bar with free wifi, but no-one ever came to serve or offer us a drink while we were sitting there!

Room Tip: If you want a sea view, ask for one but be prepared to pay for it. Ask for a first floor room if mob...
