“Not a first choice hotel”

Very average hotel looked very pretty from the outside lots of flowers climbing the walls etc. The rooms were good size and comfortable, bathroom fine with plenty of hot water and room had nice balcony facing East so could sit out and see the morning sun. Staff were pretty indifferent and rarely managed a single smile throughout our 4 day stay. The breakfasts were ok but the evening meal very mediocre until one of our party made a complaint and then they seemed to improve! However possibly the cost had been negotiated by our tour company and budgetted for accordingly as other guests seemed to have a different menu!! The bar area was dark and felt enclosed and rather unwelcoming especially since our previous hotel had been the complete opposite, light and bright. The outside pool was nice but quite small and there was also an inside pool and spa but I did not use these facilities. The beach was only a few minutes pleasant stroll away. Everyone complained about the 5euros a day charge for wifi connection!

Room Tip: Eastside if you want mountain and side sea views. Westside to overlook pool. Whatever floor you are...

Stayed there three nights during our tour of Sicily. There appear to be much better hotels in the area. Staff was not friendly and actually rude at times. The breakfasts were adequate. The beds were very uncomfortable. The only hotel that charged (five euros per day) for wifi connection during our entire trip. Would NOT recommend this hotel.

I spent 12 days at this hotel last summer. It is an amazing hotel. It's clean, rooms are nice and clean, bathroom was a decent size and their staff was very nice. Outside of the hotel is a beautiful pool, which was my favorite area, the whole outside of the hotel is covered in beautiful flowers, it is simply stunning. Be aware that Sicily is boiling hot during summer, so be prepared for a constant heat wave. Dinner is a real experience, make sure that you bring nice clothes for it, because you will not be allowed to go in, unless you have long pants and a shirt. Food is delicious , so I guess it's worth it.The only downside is that, if you're a Internet junkie, you will have to pay for WiFi, which I think it's ridiculous (5 euros per day, or 25euros for a week - to be honest this is outrageous). In stead of wasting your money paying for WiFi, if you need Internet, ask for a WiFi password in a local restaurants when you have a meal over there, they rarely change it, so you can use it whenever you want. Beach is very close to the hotel, just few minutes away. There are few grocery stores next to the hotel, so you can buy fresh fruit and cold water when sun starts burning :-) Over all, it is a beautiful hotel.

Room Tip: Be careful if you additionally pay for a pool view. Kids are always running around, screaming and ju...

We stayed here a few nights while on a tour of Sicily. The location was really good - as we were able to walk to area stores and restaurants. Our room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the dinner we had there was superb! We were there during the low season, we did not use the pool - but it looked really nice!

The hotel looks very pretty, and both indoor pool with a good jacuzzi and outdoor pool, are good. However the spa was closed and the steamroom and sauna unheated. Distances around the hotel were wearying. Apart from one waiter, full marks Benedetto, our chambermaid, and a kind barman, most of the staff were unhelpful and rather surly. There were three, possibly four, tour groups there one evening and a wedding reception, and they were rushed off their feet. Plates slammed down etc.

I was there with one of the tour groups and the food served was not very special, heavy and rather bland. Not remotely Sicilian. What the individual menus were like we never found out. The wine was definitely over-priced.

We had asked for a twin room with a sea view and we could see the sea, and indeed, Mount Etna as well. But actually the main part of the scene was a large dead larch tree and the back of a block of flats. The room was large and pleasantly furnished and the bathroom large but with a rather small shower cubicle at one end. And we could hear every time our neighbours flushed the loo or showered.

Staying here now and will never stay here again. We r planning a trip with our kids (9) of us and will not even consider staying here. First, the wifi is 5 euro per device and does not work worth a flip. It looses connection and is slow. The lobby and exterior looks great but the rooms are not nice. Yes, they have balconies but they are a 2-3 star at best. You can not move in the shower it is so tight and the beds are crappy. The tv might be a 10" and it is difficult to see from bed. I do not watch tv on trip but like to check news and stock market. Could not read the ticker for sure. Rooms are very hot and stuffy during day even with doors open and no fans r provided. Also, they are stinky from smokers. Not a pleasant stay at all. Also, used for weddings and tours and is very noisy in rooms making sleep impossible. Overall a terrible stay.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere. There are lots of hotels here

Good-looking hotel inside and out, with very professional and efficient staff. The dining room would do credit to a cruise liner, and can be divided in two if the hotel is less busy. Didn't always enjoy the meat, which could be a bit tough. Good-sized room and bathroom. Lots of coathangers (which you can easily reach). No bottled water in the fridge (a pity), and tea and coffee in the room don't seem to be provided in Sicilian hotels. Also has a warm indoor swimming pool.
Take a stroll to Giardini Naxos through the archaeological park. You can go in at one end and out the other, but may have to look for the exit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Mount Etna and/or the swimming pool. Maybe avoid rooms on floors 0 and...
