We only spent one night in this hotel. The rooms are very spacious and very clean, even if the bathrooms could be renovated. Breakfast is served on the first floor, outside on the terrace, offering a beautiful view. The buffet is cold but offers a variety of items for Italian standards. I was very disappointed though, that the A/C in our room did not function. Neither did the phone. When we pointed this out to the man at the reception, he told us that the hotel decides when they were going to turn on the A/C, even though we expressed the desire to have it turned on. He then charged us 4 euro/hour for two bikes that we had asked for and saw parked outside. The center, where you can find the shops/some restaurants, is about 1,5 km away from the hotel. We didn’t want to walk or take our car because of parking reasons. We later found out, from some other tourists that we had met in a restaurant, that the most hotels give complimentary bikes to their guests.
When we checked out the next day, I left our “beach cards” up in the room. The lady down at the reception insisted that one of us went back up to the room to get them, after I had told her where I placed them. I asked the lady why it wouldn’t have been possible for the cleaning lady to bring them down and she answered in a cynical tone of voice that I should have asked to do so in a very friendly way….
I think that the next time we will try another hotel, probably closer to the center.
