It has been several years since we were last at this little restaurant. I am pleased to say we were very happy with our main courses. For lunch on a warm Fall day., we decided to have just one course and fruit for dessert. My wife had a tempura shrimp dish and I had the last item on the primi piatti list which our waiter was unable to translate into English. It was very good-consisting of a large puff pastry shell filled with a curry sauce, mussels, clams and a few shrimp. All around the outside of the shell were perhaps two dozen more mussels. The wine list was short, but a perfectly fine Pigato enhanced our meal. The offering of fresh pineapple was ok although we would have been happier with a Macedonia of Fruit.
The outdoor patio is fairly basic, but with a gentle breeze, it was a very nice place to have lunch-and would also be pleasant in the evening.
Most restauranteurs, as well as the TA community, read these reviews. We saw no signs of unreasonable delay-commented upon in several recent reviews. Our food was cooked to order in a small kitchen-and was skillfully prepared and presented. True, there were only 3 couples in attendance, but the wait staff were bringing the food out as soon as it was ready.
Laigueglia is not a gourmet town. This is one of the better options-fresh food nicely prepared and at a very reasonable price. In the past, we have been very happy with their pasta dishes and would not hesitate to return.
