“Very nice pizza”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven and is delicious, although the base is actually a little too thin. Spaghetti Carbonara was really good, full of flavour. A very busy restaurant so service a little slow but still friendly.

“Nice place but food and service nothing special”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

We decided to give this place a second try after eating here a few years ago and finding it disappointing as it was one of the few places open and is welcoming with exposed brick vaulted ceilings and the wood fired oven for pizzas. Unfortunately second time around was the same.
The spaghetti alle vongole was the worst we have ever eaten in the area - the clams were dried up and brown and seemed as though they'd been fried with the garlic of a similar colour and consistency. Tagliatelle alla bottarga was executed better and the frittura mista with vegetables, calamari and gamberi (2 in a portion) was crispy and tasty.
Apart from the food it was difficult to catch the attention of staff - my husband kept waving to try to get them to come over but to no avail. In most restaurants a member of staff passes by occasionally to check if anyone needs anything - but here it seemed like it was the end of the summer season and they weren't bothered anymore with the customers. The pizzas others were having looked good and perhaps that's a better option.
Prices OK but we've had much better meals elsewhere and will not be back here again in the near future.

“Nice trying it, difficult to sit. Make you feel you are not a customer rather you are bothering them with a sell.”
Reviewed 21 September 2013 via mobile

The food is good and price too. They actually do not take reservations. You will give them your name and they will call you when a sit is availale. The bad news is you have to wait standing in the square. Get this: if you do not hear them calling you call, you will skip dinner... Definitelly a bad practise. It will be better if they give you a time or call you back on phone when sitting is ready.

“Aperitivo on the terrace”
Reviewed 8 August 2012

Nice place to take an aperitif in the evening. They make a nice Spritz. Service could be slow, but you can just go to the bar and they will then bring it to the table, Good corner for watching the world go by. Busy restaurant. Pacan Gelateria is quite good, also - just across the walkway.
