We arrived after a long flight and a train to Lecce. The hotel is beautiful and the people at the reception desk were very nice and efficient. Our room was not huge but perfectly arranged to accommodate us. The bathroom was just what we needed after such a trip to get there. The view from the terrace at the top and the surroundings make this hotel perfect to spend a couple of days visiting Lecce.

Beautiful hotel with wide hallways. Elevator. Spacious bedroom with very high ceiing. Good bed, mattress and pillows. Nice and light with ceiing and wall lights plus 3 lamps. Newer carpet and bed covers. Desk. Wardrobe with safe. Refrigerator. Very clean. Bathrobe & slippers provided. Breakfast was ample and good with lots of nice fruit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location to walk all around inside the city wall.

My wife and I stayed there there 3 nights during early May. We were upgraded to a very large room with (for us) his and her bathrooms. The room was directly over the main entrance (where the flags are) it was a little noisy on Saturday night when some guests were coming back from a late night, but it did not last long. Hotel was well decorated but still had cozy manor house atmosphere. Breakfast was quite well done and attentive service, small but nice enough lobby bar for a cocktail prior to dinner. Small dinner with a group of 18 others in private room was well done with good wine selection. I would think the restaurant there would also do a good job. Excellent location with nice rooftop area to relax.

Hotel could use refurbishing. Very well located but the service is very uneven. The concierges were of varying competence. Some were interested and went out of their way to help, others were a bit unfriendly. Fernando, the doorman, was pleasant and very helpful. Decent value but would not stay there again

The Patria Palace Hotel was the icing on our 5 day visit to Lecce. As we were driving (and the traffic was pretty heavy) the signs to the hotel were very good and easy to follow. The valet parking was very efficient and invaluable in such a busy town with narrow streets and ZTL (zone of limited traffic). The price for the parking (15 euro a day) is quite reasonable considering the peace of mind it gives you. All the staff was very professional, the bar service was very good and so was the breakfast. The view from our room was on to a backstreet, but this did not take anything away from the comfort it offered. The hotel is ideal for visiting the town during the day and for having a stroll in the evening. We loved the little ‘duke’ cake they left every night in the room!

We stayed three nights in one of the "superior" rooms which had a large terrace overlooking Santa Croce. Good-sized elegant room, comfortable bed, but perhaps a little too near the lift (room 301, if you are especially sensitive to noise!) Good quality toiletries.
Very good service, though the barman at times appeared rather stressed. The bar in fact, though, comfortable, is pretty much in the foyer so not private enough to have much of an atmosphere. Drink selection limited, but very good aprtitivi.
Breakfast adequate, though coffee poor.
We ate in the hotel restaurant on our last night. Not many other diners, service cheerful and professional, but the food was disappointing: tired and unimaginative, it looked and tasted as if it had been sitting in the fridge for a while, unlike most of the other food we had during our stay, which was super fresh and very tasty. In addition, the hotel restaurant was overpriced. Eat elsewhere!

We spent four nights in room 102 of the Patria Palace in Lecce. The hotel is very central (and does have parking at a price of 15euro.) We arrived by train and it is a 15-20 minute walk to the hotel from the station. Room 102 is on the street side of the hotel with a corner view of the Croce church. Despite its street front position there was little noise at night. The room is one grade up from the standard rooms. The room was generous, had a large double bed, probably 20' high ceiling and marble bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful. We did not use the whirlpool bath. Breakfast had a varied selection. Service was attentive and quiet. We had one evening meal from the local dishes on the menu. These were reasonable priced as was the local wine. The roof terrace was a good place for afternoon lounging.
The booking was made well in advance on the Accor website using the early booking cheaper price. For what we paid it was good value to get such comfort and pleasant surroundings. It would be hard to return to Lecce and not stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Book early to get the discounted rates as the rack rate looks a bit steep.
