It was quite difficult to find at least one nice place for a dinner in Lecce: boring menu, unreasonable prices, absence of menu on websites...that is why the choice was done in favour of the "restaurant" where at least we have read a nice menu. But in reality...the plates were on the level of simple trattoria, so primitive, without any fantasy and creativeness but the prices that were written in menu were quite overestimating the level of ones...not only...the bread with olives contains olives with pits (yes the waiter has told us about this incredible phenomenon...but can you imagine this please of eating the bead with pits?)... between ravioli there was a shary part on a shell... besides it was very difficult to find the response person...so the dinner was awful luckily we usually have the other kind of experience in proper restaurants.

We were visiting Lecce for an evening and wanted to dine outside but not on the street. Saw the reviews for Le Quattro Spezierie and decided to try it despite initial hesitation. Normally, I don't eat at hotel restaurants. Glad that I made an exception in this instance. The rooftop bar and restaurant was great. Nice view (not great) but the outdoor atmosphere was great. Beautiful décor. Biggest surprise was that the food was very, very good.

Unfortunately, it was too early in the season to enjoy the roof garden but we found the ground floor interior pleasant and not overbearing. The muzak when it was switched on was so unobtrusive that we did not notice it at first.
The food was good and the service impeccable.
The wine list was excellent.
To correct a previous review the restaurant name is not ‘Quattro Staggioni’ (four seasons) but ‘Quattro Speziere’ (which I think is ‘Four spice mills).

Normally we would't go to a restaurant like this, the light are a little to bright and the interior is a bit old fashioned. But there was an online offer that surprised us.
The waiter was such a great man with a funny laugh, he made our evening even better. The food was delicious. Great night!

Despite the restaurant's name (Four Seasons) the meal had very little flavour. The sea bass main was a very small meal and the herbed crumb was tasteless. The red swish of parsnip on the plate was also completely bland. Similarly, the chocolate biscotto looked the right colour, but again I could not have tasted any chocolate flavour.
