Our last night in Lecce, and just wanted a single, simple dish, having pigged out for three days & nights! This place prepares local "poor" food, as eaten in the past by peasants. It's certainly simple and rustic, and no-frills! We opted for the octopus, which was delicious: slow-cooked for hours in a dense, rich, vegetable sauce, accompanied by some lovely rustic bread, and washed down with a bottle of local white. Cheap and cheerful, and mighty tasty.
