. Suite le Giravolte in the heart of the old city was as magical as Lecce itself. We arrived in late October in the dead of night and were met by Allesandra and a friend who carried our numerous bags through winding streets to a most excellent apartment in the old town. Giravolte had been recently remodeled, but old world touches remained......the wooden shutters over every balcony and the vaulted stone ceilings. The king bed was very comfortable, the kitchen functional and the rooftop overlooking the many churches of Lecce amazing.
Giravolte was minutes to the main streets of the old town, and still close markets outside the walls. Alessandra was super to deal with both personally and through emails. She also speaks very good English, which is u common in the South of Italy. She had a cab driving friend take us to the station, and help situate us on the train!
We hope to return to Lecce and Giravolte. both were a wonderful part of our three month Italian vacation! We strongly recommend contacting Alessandra.
