“about 2000 years of "house"......imagine all the uses”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

the story is fascinating......the more they tried to restore the house during the last few decades, the more they discovered. Seems like the world has received a fabulous gift from one family to share this look into hundreds of years. The house now has been miraculously "excavated" to reveal its fascinating past. SEE IT WHILE IT IS THERE!

“Amazing!”

You can't miss visiting this house! When they started renovating it they uncovered an amazing history and archeology. Knights Templar, nunnery, chapel, buried bodies. Just fascinating

“A wonderful find, not to be missed!”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

A house turned into a Historical Archeological Museum by the Faggiano family, an amazing piece of history, still a work in progress. Thoroughly enjoyed all the information given to us and the fact that they make it possible to see so many of the cisterns and passageways they have found. The story of the people who lived in this house for the last 2,000 years!

“A little gem”
Reviewed 3 July 2013

Not an awful lot to see, but plenty to wonder at. This building was used as flats (bit hazy here), but the landlord had complaints about the drains. When renovations started they discovered the ancient remains beneath the house. Our curator tried to be as helpful as she could, but our Italian not really up to the task. There were typed notes you could take round with you. A unique feature was the ceiling of one room which was composed of terracotta tubes, you could see where the bottom had parted company from the sides. Definitely worth a visit.
