Wow this is a fabulous place. We took the 3 bedroom option which was in the main house. It's stunning inside, rather than being dated in terms of its décor, the features are period related, and overall it’s charming and welcoming.
The grounds are stunning and well kept, and fully enclosed by the high wall and gates. Its set amongst a slightly industrial area with some warehouses, garages and supermarkets. Once you’re inside the walls though you don’t really get a sense of this. There’s onsite secure parking. Our property in the main house had an inner courtyard off the kitchen which was a great sun trap!
There is some noise from the road which borders the north of the property, but whether this will disturb you depends on what you’re used to. I think the noise will be less in the 2 bed/1 bed apartments because these are further away from the road than the house.
The pool is large and warm, until the end of May its under the retractable cover which gets very warm inside. Then at the end of May/early June, the owner said she retracts the cover. There was a lilo and some balls to play with inside. Its about one third shallow end and two thirds deep end. And the deep end is very deep.
The owner was lovely, very helpful and welcoming. One day she brought coffee and cakes for us. Make sure if you want to venture out, you ask her where the best places to go are.
There’s a supermarket next door which was very useful – you can literally walk there in 3 minutes.
Overall we thought the place was great – well located and well priced, with everything we needed. We may return (and possibly take friends to stay in the other properties).
