Total agreement that this Hotel is as far out of town as you would want to be, but that does not prove any problem at all. We have stayed in Livigno many times, and even hotels in the centre are harder work for adventurous skiers who also like to 'apres-ski'. The Blue line bus stops so close you can almost put your ski-boots on and step on the bus outside the door.
The Rooms are fine, and Inghams did us proud this time. However, the bus driver needs a sat nav to get here, as the trip from Brescia took over six hours, and passed the door of Bergamo airport. (Why Inghams?) last tme we did this trip in under 4.5 hours.
I will state however that the Lift Pass is now outrageously over-priced, so beware and make sure that you really want a good time, as you will not want to waste it. Livigno people - It is at least 20% too high even without our rubbish UK/Euro exchange rate. We seriously considered Canada, as the package was actually cheaper.
Hotel food is not too bad. You won't starve here. You will also want to book this hotel if you drink Earl Grey tea, as they actually have plenty here.
Nightlife in Livigno is definitely suffering with credit crunch fatigue. Daphne's Pub was buzzing last year but struggles to get an atmosphere now. Galli's has at last changed hands and the new people are trying to change it's image for the better. You will see some initial improvements, but give it a year and we may judge it better then.
Bivio still has the vote here, and there are a few good places to go for a real english cup of tea and superbe 'Kuche'.
