“Excellent, not a fault”
Reviewed 8 February 2009

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Auberge and have had one of the most relaxed weekend breaks we have ever had.
The welcome we received was warm and friendly. Despite arriving late-ish, this was no problem for the resturant. The room was extremely comfortable with an absolutly massive bed and a large luxourious walk in shower.
The food in the resturant was incredible - the best food we have had in a long time, coupled with some great wine and friendly staff. We overindulged ourselves with the large (delicious) breakfast.
The staff we very friendly and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and that we were regulars.
We will definitely be going back and cannot recommend this highly enough.

The staff here were friendly and helpful . The room (one of four in a new annexe) was very clean and had a large, modern bathroom with a more traditional-style bedroom. Bed very comfortable. Lovely breakfast. The only disadvantage was the rather isolated location; however their restaurant was very good, with well-presented and imaginative food, so we didn't mind eating there at all! If you want to have Saturday dinner then book a table in advance.

We stayed just one night at this small hotel, and were very impressed with the standard of service, food and accommodation. Although on a main road, the accommodation is in a barn behind the main building so not disturbed by traffic.
The rooms are large and tastefully furnished, with luxuriously comfortable beds and great showers. The food is locally sourced and nicely presented. The dining room (in what used to be an old public house) is both cosy and smart. It is a good base for visiting much of Norfolk and Suffolk. We will certainly go back.
