Really enjoyed our three nights here. It's located a few miles outside of town down a small country road. We had what I guess would be a suite with a very large bedroom and a kitchen along with a small patio. The dinners were delicious and the breakfasts were very good. There were fresh melons in the field, homemade olive oil and very fresh vegetables. A few very nice cats and dogs strolled the property. After a day of cycling the pool was very refreshing. Wi fi was available.
We stayed at Le Magnolie with several other couples on a bicycle tour. The food is superb, locally grown and accompanied at dinner by unlimited table wine and award winning olive oil. Some rooms are attractive bedrooms you might find in any nice house, others are more rustic. Bear in mind you are staying on a farm and there are dogs, cats, chickens, crickets etc. The pool is big enough to swim laps. Loreto Aprutina is about three miles away.
We went for the day, had a lunch prepared by the 80+ year old grand mom that was true, Italian country cooking and then picked cherries and swam at their beautiful pool. We saw the rooms which were also well appointed with old-world charm and modern comforts. The setting is gorgeous too.
After our first stay two years ago we decided to go back every year. The appartments are lovely, the environment is beautiful and the food is the very best. The hosts are nice and the pool-area is wonderful. I can't think of any thing that diminish this rating.
The small number of villas dotted around the grounds are superb, kitchenette with dishwasher, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, all making for a relaxing family holiday. The pool is large, varied depths so good for little ones, teenagers and adults. But the piece de resistance is the amazing food, served 5 nights out of 7 on a long, communal table where guests from all nationalities come together and eat produce from the farm. The children, once they're full, leave the table to play in the nearby games room (football table, table tennis table, DVDs and Playstation) while the adults chat, listen to Mario the consummate host, drink the organic red wine that never stops coming and finish off with homemade limoncello (not for sale!). It is truly la dolce vita and we loved it so much, we are spending two weeks there again. It is secluded, it is 40 minutes from the coast, there is no on site entertainment which for us is perfect (but it's not for everyone!).
We were 2 couples looking for a rural retreat & we were extremely delighted with this agriturismo. As owners of a small bed & breakfast in Tennessee, we were well-placed to appreciate the warmth & friendliness of Mario, his family, & staff. The delicious evening meal was a full 5 course affair including excellent wines & an after-dinner aranciata, and at 27euro was a bargain. We took advantage of the open invitation to pick-your-own veggies from the family garden for lunch in our apartment kitchen. Also there are at least 2 fine restaurants nearby. There were stunning views from the property of high mountains, still snow-covered in May.
