I stayed here at the Hotel Lorenzett over Christmas 2006. I would echo all the other comments apart from the person who wanted to book for 4 days and encountered emailing problems etc. I went for a week and it was arranged by a tour operator so I didn't have any trouble with that.

The only possible snag with this hotel is that it isn't next to the slopes and is a good 15 minute walk into town. However the minibus service they put on is absolutely fantastic and takes you wherever you want to go running to a closely timed timetable so there is not a problem with getting to the slopes each morning.

Mrs Lorenzetti is a very pleasant lady and always comes around in the evenings to see if you are enjoying your meal. There is a lot of attention to detail with this hotel-lovely rooms, chocolates and poems left on the table when you get back from skiing, nice touches like that. They go into the rooms while you're at dinner to turn the beds down ready as well.

Now the food-cor well it is out of this world. It is the place to go if you like decent food on a ski holiday. I've never experienced anything that is a patch on it elsewhere, although admittedly I haven't skied anywhere else in Italy so I'm not sure how it compares. Madonna di Campiglio itself is a very nice chic town, expensive shops but lots of places to have a look around. Ski wise-well I couldn't really comment as I was a beginner skier at the time so I didn't get to see it all properly, but I think there was plenty to keep all but experts entertained for a week.

I had one of the rooms with no view and no balcony too-but it was still lovely. The ensuite bathroom was by far the cleanest most immaculate bathroom I had ever seen abroad. It was like being at home which is a rare experience cleanliness wise lets be honest. No mould in the showers here! I wish French hotels were a bit more like this place! There was enough room for all your kit here rather than trying to squeeze everything into a single wardrobe like in France!

Overall-absolutely excellent service, hospitality, food and accomodation on all counts.

I probably had one of the worst rooms in this hotel - no balcony and no view - but I would still recommend it wholeheartedly and would certainly return (to that same room, in fact!). The staff are without exception pleasant and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean and there are various public areas to relax in.
Dinners were amazing - great choice and good local produce.
Although the hotel is a little bit away from the town, this was a bonus, not a disadvantage. For those not keen to walk to town, there is a free shuttle-bus. There are countless attractive walks nearby and the scenery is spectacular.

This was my 3rd ski-ing holiday, but the first in Italy. Went with Solo's to Hotel Lorenzetti, which was a 4-star Hotel and deserved the 4 stars absolutely! Spotlessly clean, wonderful food, very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. The ski-ing was good, too!
Small town, but had everything you needed. The ski school sent me a lovely instructor, who was so careful with me (a senior citizen) gave me much confidenca and took me down my first red run.

I cannot praise the resort, the hotel, and the ski school too highly! I am planning to go back next season!

I have just spent a week at the Hotel Lorenzetti and absolutely loved it. As a previous reviewed said, it is the "peak of perfection". Mrs Lorenzetti, a delightful lady, takes a tremendous pride in her hotel, I can truly say I have never stayed in any place where so much attention is given to detail, from the fresh flowers which are everywhere, to the presentation of the gourmet food which is superb. The decor is imaculate and the entire hotel is spotlessly clean. Mrs Lorenzetti personally spoke to us every day to ensure we were happy with everything. There were many little touches which made our stay at this hotel especially memorable. I visited this hotel with the intension of walking in the Dolomites and was told at the beginning of the stay that I could make use of their mini bus at any time, whether to take me to the start of the walk or pick me up when I started to flag (I just phoned the hotel from my mobile). I did this on several occasions and the bus was there within minutes. This was a free service. On a couple of evenings we were given drinks "on the house". Each evening when I returned to my room after dinner I would find a chocolate on my bedside table and either a recipe or a poem. On departure I was told to select a bottle of their wine to take with me. Mrs Lorenzetti personally came to say goodby to me. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. There are no cost cutting exercises here, the aim of the owner and management is clearly for their guests to have the best stay possible.

Imagine spending the day skiing on well groomed and interesting pistes against a backcloth of some of the most magnificent mountain scenery you will ever see and then, in the evening enjoying a fabulous 5 course dinner in a beautifully appointed restaurant. This was my reality staying at the outstanding Hotel Lorenzetti in the lovely resort of Madonna di Campiglio that nesles invitingly in the imposing Dolomites. Every day the hotel shuttlebus was available to take us to the ski lifts accessing the well planned and extensive ski area. On our return we could relax in the cosy wood panelled bar anticipating the fantastic dining experience that awaited us. The staff were efficient yet so friendly and helpful that we felt really welcome and at home, nothing was too much trouble. Each evening the menu was different and we browsed through the choices savouring the delightful combinations of flavours that always worked so well and were presented so thoughtfully. This is without doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in and the best food I have ever tasted. Between skiing and dining the Well Being Centre offers a great opportunity to relax by the pool or enjoy one of the many beauty treaments available.

Hotel Lorenzetti is delightful, family owned four-star hotel on the outskirts of Madonna di Campiglio – a classy Italian winter and summer sports resort in the Brenta Dolomites. The hotel building, which overlooks the spectacular Brenta massif, has evolved over the decades and as a result the bedrooms are all different but each is beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed and plush bathroom. Indeed, the decor throughout the hotel is immaculate. The staff are universally friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough to ensure that guests have a good stay. The food here is outstanding - fantastic buffet breakfasts and wonderful dinners. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in Madonna; even locals come to eat here on special occasions - the food is that good. There is a health centre with a heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Beauty treatments and massages are also available. Although a mile from the centre of Madonna, the hotel runs a free shuttle bus throughout the day to the town - and at night by request. In winter, skiers take the free hotel bus to the lift-stations servicing the extensive ski area, which is one of the best in Italy. I have stayed at this hotel on at least six occasions in both winter and summer over the last five years and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a true four-star hotel, efficently and courteously run by charming people. Try it for yourself in winter or summer and I am sure that you, like me, will fall in love with the Hotel Lorenzetti and this beautiful part of Italy.
