This hotel was extremely clean considering it's age. The rooms were cute. They style was a little outdated but fit the scenery perfect! We loved the rooms.... they were very spacious with awesome balconies. Perfect location! Gorgeous views and friendly hotel staff!!

The Hotel has a great location overlooking the prom. We had a nice room in the front of the hotel with a fabulous view. The staff were very good, professional, helpful & friendly. We were staying half board. Not all good though. I would only consider the the hotel a 3 star & it is a little dated. The bed was hard & the English channels on the TV were poor with not even a decent news channel. The choices available at breakfast were very limited & the dinner menu was not up to the standard of a 4 * hotel.

Room Tip: A room with a sea view is a must & worth the extra

We stayed in this hotel in September. We booked this holiday with Thomson. The hotel is on the sea front, walking distance around all of Maori. The town area is pretty busy even though its not a large town. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The beds were good and bedding of a good standard. The rooms were cleaned daily and the bedding changed and had fresh towels. The tv was basic and had only one English channel which was BBC World News. The balcony had chairs and table on it. We had nice views of the mountains and the castle. The pool was fairly quiet most of the time this was probably because of the water being a bit cold but this didnt put us off. The pool is very deep and has a diving board. The hotel provided us with beach and pool towels which was really good. The reception staff were very helpful and lent us a electric plug adapter for the 2 weeks we were there. Breakfast was continental buffet. but had a good variety. Had cereal, toast, fresh fruit, tinned fruit, cheese, ham, cakes and occasionally eggs. We were half board. The evening meal was waiter service from a set menu. There was 3 options. Meat, fish or cheese. We told the head waiter that we are vegetarian. He asked if we ate fish, we said we didnt. He looked at us as if we were from another planet. So we had the cheese dishes every night, but we ate out some nights. The food was very tasty and of a high standard. The waiters were friendly and pleasant. To be fair we did not ask if we could have an alternative to cheese as they didnt seem to understand vegetarianism otherwise this would be evident on the menu. Drinks in the hotel were expensive, a can of lemon cost 3.50. We thought it would be quite an expensive holiday but was pleasantly surprised. There is a cheap supermarket called Deco where we bought our water, it was only 2 Euros for 6 x 2 Litre bottles. There are some expensive restaurant but it depends on your budget. We found a nice restaurant called La Vela and had a meal for 25 Euro. There is WiFi in the reception area and was easy to access. The hotel has its own beach area and allocated sunbeds. So, you are sunbathing with people from your own hotel. Our Rep was called Josete. She was fantastic and gave us lots of ideas of what to do. We booked a few day trips. We went to Capri which is not to be missed, especially the chair lift up the mountain. Paestum was also a trip not to be missed, its a lot quieter than Pompei. Local buses can be a bit unreliable and very busy. Bus tickets need to be bought in advance from bars or Tobacconists. Theres a bar near to the hotel called bar Orlente where you can buy bus tickets. Bus to Amalfi cost 2.50 one way. There is also the red tourist open top bus which cost 3 Euro or 10 Euro for a day pass, but again we found it to be a bit unreliable also. Maori has a castle which is worth a visit. Its up many steps and not suitable if you struggle walking. The castle is owned by an old man who shows you around, He speaks no English, but was a fun experience. Its free to go in but you are expected to make a donation to its restoration. Ravello is a town in the hills that is so beautiful. You can get a local bus there from Amalfi. Amalfi can be a very busy town as this is where you get buses to go further around the coast.

We stayed there recently (mid September) and was very pleased with hotel. Very welcoming staff and food was available to us when we arrived at around 11.00 pm. This is a great hotel as a base for exploring the Almalfi Coast, quieter than Amalfi but with specatular views. Food was very good and waiter and bar service excellent. Hotel facilities we thought were excellent, pool is larger than average. All in all would certainly recommend.

We stayed here for 10 days in the summer. It's very close to the beach and guests have free access to the private beach. The pool is apparently the largest in the area and it's also excellent.

They were very accommodating - we had dinner kept for us as our arrival was late, they made a special birthday breakfast of pancakes for my little sister and also gave us complimentary pink champagne on her birthday. I also received post after leaving the hotel and the forwarded it to me in the UK with no problems at all.
I had some painful mosquito bites and the hotel were very helpful - they recommended a pharmacy and plugged a deterrent into our room for the rest of the holiday.

The bedrooms were clean and fresh with good air conditioning. The beds were quite hard but we slept fine - you get used to it quickly.

The food was excellent - we were on half board. Breakfast is a buffet with a wide choice of pastries, breads, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheeses. Dinner was always a choice between three options for each course. Always a vegetarian option, fish option and meat. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked.

I could write more about this brilliant hotel but I'll leave at this; welcoming, friendly, excellent service, we really didn't want to leave!

I have stayed in this hotel twice so far and found it to be very good both times. It's location at the seafront in the town of Maoiri on the Amalfi coast is very good. Maoiri is a small town and is charming to stroll around with restaurants, cafes, small shops and a lovely church, with winding streets and lanes to walk. The hotel has a lovely pool and access to the beach just across the road. The hotel is traditionally built, possible 1950's design, and is very cool in the heat of the Italian summer with marble floors and high ceilings. We had rooms with balconies both times and this added to our visit as we could sit and watch life going by and look out at the azure sea. The staff were very helpful and very nice at all times. The location was good too for trips by coach to nearby archaeological sites such as Paestum, Herculaneum and Pompeii. I will stay there again when I next visit Amalfi.

Room Tip: Always ask for a room with a balcony

We stayed at this hotel early July. The hotel location was excellent with gorgeous views out onto the Amalfi Coast. We had a corner room on the top floor in the front part of the hotel. The room was more modern than I had imagined. We had a double sized balcony as it was a corner room. It had air conditioning which wasn't that great, it tended to waft air rather than cool it off. It wasn't controlled by the thermostat in the room unfortunately. The room had a mini-bar which the hotel would charge €5 per day if found using it. We therefore put drinks in it after the room had been made up and to double not getting found out, we sometimes placed the do not disturb sign up. There was a TV which we didn't watch so don't know if it had any "English" channels. We took a travel kettle which was worth doing.

The bathroom was spacious enough. However it had a shower rather than a bath. This was just a tray with a curtain round it. If you were a larger person, there wasn't much space. I struggled a bit and I'm 5'4". It did have a bidet (who uses those?), a stool, plenty of shelf space and a hairdryer.

The food was excellent, the fish dishes for dinner were superb. Couldn't fault it.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The large pool, pool area wasn't really suitable for children as the pool was very deep - 370m. However there was also a paddling pool. Not many people seemed to use the pool or sunbeds so no need to reserve a bed!

All in all a lovely holiday. Maoiri, nice place with good mix of locals and tourists. Nice promenade - unusual for Amalfi Coast as the resorts are on cliffs. Less tacky toursity than Amalfi. Less expensive for eating and drinking than other resorts.

Room Tip: Ask for room 403, top floor overlooking the sea front with larger balcony, considered to be a partial...
