Stayed here for several days and what a lovely location, right on the sea front. Largo swimming pool and plenty of sun beds both in the shade or sun if you prefer.

Staff were friendly and quality of food good. Live entertainment on one evening on the terrace was a bonus.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the pool, no problem with noise but it was middle if June so not in high season.

The hotel may be dated but what it lacked in up to date amenities the staff more than made up for.
If the days menu did not appeal every effort was made to provide something that did including fillet steak. My wife has a wheat and gluten allergy and this was no problem, the maitre d explained everything that was available.I would recommend this friendly hotel to anyone.Towels provided for pool and free beach !.PS get the bus to Ravello and walk back via Minori

Room Tip: the seaview rooms at the front are best.

It is now six years since our last visit to the Pietra di Luna hotel - so what has changed - not very much - some room upgrades have taken place but it still maintains is high standards of service, cleanliness and a feeling of a family run hotel which is in no doubt down to the efforts of all the staff from the reception through to the beach attendants. Lunch and evening meals are all waiter service with three choices for each of the three courses but if any of these do not appeal for any reason the head waiter will be only too pleased to try and accommodate your wishes. For anyone wishing to visit the many wonderful sites that the Amalfi coast offers then this is an excellent hotel to stay at and we would certainly recommend it.

Room Tip: Always book a sea view room if possible

We have stayed for a week so far in the Pietra di Luna Hotel in Maiori and so far we are delighted. This has been our first time in Italy and on the Amalfi coast so what a good impression this hotel has left on us. In all the summer holidays we have taken we haven't felt like returning to a hotel we've stayed at, until now! We most definitely would return here in the future.

The rooms are spacious and airy with high ceilings. The rooms are immaculate and well equipped with a decent bath and shower in the bathroom, ample storage area for clothes in the bedroom, a firm but comfortable bed and very good air conditioning. Our balcony has a side view to the sea and it is beautiful to sit out and enjoy the morning sun and the evening warmth. It's the biggest balcony we've had on holiday.

The hotel has a lovely pool which again is well looked after. The hotel also has access to a private area of beach which means you have access to your own sunbeds and parasol.

The reception staff, waiters and cleaners are friendly and always willing to help. All the staff seems to speak very good english which has been a huge relief to us given that we do not speak Italian.

A few nights into our stay the room next door to us was occupied by a couple of folks making a lot of noise. When we contacted reception they immediately approached the neighbouring room and asked them to keep the noise down. When this wasn't successful they approached the folk again. The next morning we were moved to a different room to prevent anymore disturbance to us. We were so impressed by the way the staff handled this situation.

The food in the restaurant is of good quality and the service is very personal. There is fish to choose from the menu every night which we highly recommend and the ravioli is lovely.

Maiori itself is lovely town with bars, shops and restuarants and things to see and do and it is within walking distance on nearby Minori. You can also take local or sightseeing buses to Amalfi, Ravello and beyond if you want to explore more of this lovely part of the world.

The setting in Maiori is excellent with views out to the sea, and to the towns further down the coast and on the hills adding to the feel of being in a beautiful part of the country. The town itself is peaceful. You are in amongst the locals in many parts of the town so we feel we are experiencing the real Italy.

We are so glad we booked for two weeks and are looking forward to another wonderful week.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Dear Graham,

it is the first time that, thanks to you, I am reading a review of a guest that is still at the Hotel, and is letting the world know how he is enjoying his stay. Thank you very very much also on behalf of all the staff of the Pietra di Luna Hotel, they have all appreciated your comments. I apologise for the inconvenience that occurred on your arrival, unfortunately, there are “Tourists” and “Travellers”, but I am glad we managed to solve it. Hoping that the rest of your stay with us will be as enjoyable, or even more of your first week with us.
Thank you very much for hawing chosen us for your stay in Maiori and especially for recommending.
My sincere and best regards,

Alfonso Imperato

The Pietra di Luna is a charming seaside hotel. Clean nicely equipped bedrooms (mini bar, tv, air con). Slightly dated, but that adds to the character of this hotel. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed for 7 nights with half board. Great food and good selection of wines. Free WiFi in lobby and pool areas (had to ask a few times to turn on as the reception team forgot a few times) but not generally available in bedrooms. Two outside pools and sun terrace (nice for after dinner coffee and a glass or two of lemoncello). Hotel and local area great for seasoned travellers requiring calm and tranquility - not a night club region. Going back in September for two weeks...

Dear Mr. Bray,

Meeting you at the Pietra di Luna Hotel has been a great pleasure, and I am really looking forward to your return in September. I am sure that soon you will become a real Maiorese and that the number of your friends will increase. Thank you for appreciating our facilities and services. We are working on the WFI problem that is not due to the reception forgetting to switch it on, but by the high number of connections. We hope to be able to avoid this for the future. Looking forward to welcome you back in September, I remain,
Yours sincerely,

Alfonso Imperato
