“Good simple hotel. Good value for money.”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Stayed late June for a week in a room at the back of hotel (where there are no balconies and very quiet). Room had everything you need if you just sleep there. Most importantly for us great aircon, under our control! And very clean. Bathroom was immaculate too. Breakfast had a very big choice for a continental breakfast and staff were very attentive in the dining room. There is a shady little courtyard to sit in which made up for the lack of balcony. Worth mentioning that the front balcony rooms are very close to traffic on a fairly busy narrow road so for some, maybe not suitable if light sleepers. However, if I was staying for a couple of weeks might opt for top floor with balcony. The beach is a short walk away. Will probably go back one day to this hotel.

The hotel is very clean. A short walk to the beach front.staff are very friendly.Breakfast is of good quality continental style .For me it lacked daily variety and eggs would have been nice option. The walls are thin so its pot luck who you get next door to.The hotel is also on a main road so if you are allocated a room next to it expect noise although the double glazing helps.Good value for money for the area and excellent base for exploring the region.

This hotel is fantastic value for money. The rooms are a good size and everything worked perfectly. We had a room facing the road which had a lot of traffic but couldn't really be heard once the doors/windows were closed. The walls internally are quite thin and conversations could be heard in neighbouring rooms but it was quiet at night. We never had any problems sleeping (apart from the night that the church bells rang at 3am and 5:30am)

Everything is spotless and the cleaning ladies are so nice and friendly. Our room was cleaned daily with towels replaced everyday too. I have never been so impressed by cleaning staff before. Perhaps it was just coincidental but they always waited until we had left for breakfast to clean our room and it was usually done by the time we got back. They even folded our pyjamas and left them under our pillows. It really felt like home. All of the staff were fantastic and provided a service above and beyond our expectations and yet remained out of everyone's way.

Breakfast was amazing with a massive selection including delicious doughnuts!! We were always full leaving and usually didn't have to eat until early evening. The selection was constantly restocked so they never ran out of anything.

The hotel itself is in a great location. It is a very short walk to the bus stop (bus from Salerno) and there is a small supermarket up a little further than the hotel. No steep hills to climb with luggage. We checked it out on Google street maps so we knew exactly where to get off the bus and walked straight to the hotel without even having to think about it which was great after a long and very very tiring day of travelling.

There are some fantastic restaraunt nearby and very reasonably priced too (check the reviews on TripAdvisor for guidance). There isn't much to do in Maiori itself but with regular buses along the coast and to the train station in Salerno, it really is a great base without the inflated touristy prices.

The hotel also has excellent WiFi. So basically this place and its staff are fantastic! If you want somewhere clean and basic but has all the essentials then do not look any further......this is it! Thanks for making our stay so easy and enjoyable :)

This is a fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. Cannot fault it. We stayed for 7 nights. The internal condition is excellent and it is apparent that a refurbishment has been carried out in the recent past. The location is a short walk from the main sea front road and the main shopping street and Maiori is a lovely little town from where you can explore the Amalfi Coast by bus, car or boat. Superb value for money.

We stayed for 5 days and had the interconnecting rooms because we are a family (2 children aged 10 and 14); worked well for us.
Lovely, clean, well maintained family run hotel.
Breakfast was great; great choices of fresh food.
Very efficient and reliable communication with Giovanni throughout.
Maiori is a great town - a lot of Italians use it as a holiday destination.. We liked not being part of the big crowds at the other towns. We used Maiori as a base to explore the coast. The Sita buses a great way to get around. We visited Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Pompeii (bus to Salerno and train to Pompeii) and took a boat to Capri for a day.

We stayed at the Torre De milo for 7 days at the end of May. We selected the hotel based on previous reviews on Tripadvisor. We were defiantly not disappointed.
The room was ample large enough and always kept very clean. The staff, especially Carmella were extremely helpful, when they were required they completed any
request efficiently, otherwise you were left alone to your own space – just what we wanted.
Maiori itself is a fabulous base for the Amalfi coast and indeed the Naples area, the hotel is situated a short walk from the wonderful beach front and pretty much in
the centre of this lovely quaint town. There were too many eating establishments we enjoyed, we never really had a bad meal at any of them; but worth a mention are:
La Vela and Dedalo restaurants, and the coffee house Pasticceria Napoli is worth a visit for the wonderful cakes and coffee (just forget the diet for the visit!)
We’ll definitely are planning on coming back to Maiori and will come back to the Torre de milo as well, highly recommended.

Room Tip: For really light sleepers, rooms at the road side could be a noisy at certain times if you sleep wit...
