We have Just come back home from a great weeks holiday in malcesine. We could not of asked for better weather, most days the temperatures were in the 30s. We could not really fault the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The view from our room was stunning, even laying in bed we could see the lake and mountains. The hotels pool was lovely the only criticism was that you were not allowed in it after 7pm considering it stayed light until late. We went out for the day every day and it would of been nice to of come back to an evening swim but as our average time of coming back to the hotel was 6.45pm we did not feel we could so that was a shame. The food quality was out standing but not all the meals were to our tastes. Great if you like al a carte. But not so great if you we're looking for more traditional Italian foods like pastas, pizza, spaghetti bolognese or lasagna. Some evenings we preferred to go in to malcesines centre for these types of meals and for the great evening atmosphere that there was, especially the harbour and the little squares connected by the quaint cobbled streets and lanes. Breakfast in the hotel was first class, there was so much to choose from and their croissants were delicious. More information could of been given on arrival like been given the option of air conditioning and the route down the stairs to a gate that lead out on to the road which you only had to cross and you came across more steps down through gardens to the coastal path that lead you into the centre of malcesine avoiding the walk along the main road which we did until another guest showed us this route and told us we could use are room key to unlock the gate coming back. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs. The lake was lovely to swim in with its crystal clear waters. The trip up the mountain via the cable car was a must to see the amazing views of the lake and mountains. You could even see the Dolomite snow covered mountains in the distance. We we highly recommend this hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Capri Hotel. As bride and groom we booked ourselves into one of their executive rooms, however when we got there for the first night the hotel had double booked the room and we were put into a standard double. They were very apologetic for this error and offered to charge us standard room prices even though for the remaining 4 nights we were in the executive room (always good to save on some pennies). The lake views were stunning! The room was clean and the beds very comfortable (pillows very hard though). We opted for the B&B option so that we could go to the town (5 minute walk away) and socialise with some wedding guests, however my family were half board and could not find fault with the delicious 4 course evening meals they received.
They have a good size pool for cooling down in, however I loved to swim in the lake! (2 minutes walk away).
I would definitely recommend this friendly and professional hotel to someone looking for a relaxing holiday in Malcesine, we had a super time here.

Had 11 lovely nights here. Lovely hotel and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is family run, which was nice. We were half board so ate in hotel every night. We did plan to eat out a couple of times over the 11 nights but found the food so good in the hotel we didn't feel the need. They were exceptionally obliging and helpful with my vegetarian diet! Also the view from the terrace/restaurant is stunning and you would be pushed to find a restaurant with that added bonus! The only possible criticism was that the air-con in our room struggled in the 40degree heat. Also had a roof terrace which no-one seemed to use so lovely if you want solitude. Pool and jacuzzi small but adequate and always managed to get a sunbed whatever time you got up:-). Would have no hesitation in recommending.

Room Tip: Side lake view is great as it is more private. We had a room with two balconies, facing back and sid...

Just arrived back after a week at the Hotel Capri and couldn't fault it. We booked independently on B&B in an executive room with stunning views overlooking the lake and it was well worth it. Family run and very friendly, Nothing was too much trouble. We were there for my daughters wedding and 18 of us stayed here. Exceptional service, excellent breakfast and only a short walk into town. Air con included and definitely needed as temperature reached 45 at the end of the week! Small fridge in the room was useful and hotel had free wifi. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra for an executive or exclusive room overlooking the lake.

We spent 11 days in this fabulous hotel, together with some friends. Two families could get the same level terrace/balcony as we both stayed in the apartments. The staff, the place, the facilities all met or exceeded our expectations and we were just smiling day in day out. The apartment kitchen was simply the best we`ve had, 4 induction stoves that are fast and safe, were just perfect for your own cookings and dinners al fresco. Rooms were spacious and had properly working fridges. The balcony was big enough to spent time in the evenings and overlooked the lake - amazing view. Comfy beds and good shower.
Pool side and other facilities such as whirlpool were all very nice and clean. The one place we found out later on was the roof terrace where you should be taking all your panorama pictures of town Malcesine, just stunning view! The possibility to loan bikes was also great extra and the bikes were in good condition. Just pity we noticed this later in our holiday and only get to use them once.

The manager did everything to help us feel welcomed and he did huge favour to us when our rental cars battery was dead, calling the rental agency for us and finally fixing the problem - we are for ever grateful and simply thankful be the helpfulness of the hotel manager. The staff also was very keen to tell us what to do and where to find things, whenever we had some questions.

If you are allergic to traffic noise by some extent, then maybe the apartments are not your choice, since they are closest to the main road, but we did not mind and when you close the doors/shutters goodnight sleep is guaranteed. Traffic is a part of Italian towns and as such did not bother us. It`s not like a highway or anything, just busy road on peak season. Altough on market day (sat) we preferred to stay in town since traffic jams are a fact. We did lot of excursions around the lake and within half hour drive there are so many things to see. Try lake Ledro near town Riva, simply breathtaking place, crystal clear waters and ideal for any walking or biking excursions. We spent whole day there and altought the lake water is much cooler than in Garda, enjoyed swimming too.

All in all, one if not the best hotels i have ever been, well worth the three stars they have and could easily be four.It is not five star hotel, nor they are trying to be, the hospitality is just so overwhelming and you really feel welcomed so you can solely focus on your holiday. That is the secret of this lovely family kept hotel. Thank you and we´ll surely be back!

Room Tip: Lake side rooms, apartments for your own meals

Almost there but a few niggles that spoiled the overall experience eg cupboard door hanging off when we arrived - solution - remove the door! Staff not particularly friendly especially when we mentioned the door. Shower room and bedroom old and basic. Food quality inconsistent. Air conditioning struggled to cope in the heat despite the supplement of €5 per night. On the plus side, the pool was clean and pleasant and the dining terrace overlooking the lake is lovely.

I have visited this hotel a number of times and it is definitely my favourite hotel in the whole world....It is small, quiet, family run, few children, fabulous food, excellent service....and the lake views from the balcony rooms are unforgettable.

Room Tip: Any balcony room.....but probably front facing and on a higher floor is best.
