We booked based on trip adviser reviews and the photos and was not disappointed.

Everything I could ask for from a hotel. Great rooms, lovely views, friendly service, amazing food, good location, gym and free wifi !

We booked the holiday last minute so had not researched the area at all and guys were so helpful with planning each day on what we should do. The room was lovely and the views of the lake amazing could have easily spent the week staring out !

Breakfast was really good have not been overly impressed with the range and content of continental breakfasts before in Europe but this was good.! Had dinner at the hotel one evening and was really impressed. Could have easily have eaten there all week (but holiday for me is about exploring and variety). The hotel was a nice relax mix of couple and families which suited us perfectly.

I will be exploring more of lake Garda but if I get the chance to return to Malcesine I will defiantly be staying here again

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Capri, June 29th- July 13th.
We stayed B&B and had a room overlooking the lake. The whole holiday was Fantastic. We cannot praise Marco, the manager and all his staff highly enough. We stayed in an Executive room which is the middle of the range. We had a separate toilet and a huge walk- in shower, a settee and a large balcony which was not over looked. I would give you all the room number but we want to try and keep that to ourselves, so its available for the next time we visit.
It is 10 minutes walk into town and there are 4 different routes you can take, sounds a bit strange but after a day you can easily work it out.
If you want to be adventurous, try the Panoramica Walk which starts at the back of the hotel. Be warned its approx 10km, take some water.
We tried various restaurants in Malcesine and did not have a bad meal in any of them. I dont know where they all are, because once you start walking around the old town , going down little alleyways, its easy to become confused. However we can recommend,Gigi ( next door to hotel - see my review on T/A) Mignon, Gondola, Pedros . All the Pizzas are excellent and about 8/9 Euros, house wine 10/12 Euros per litre.
Enjoy yourselves at Capri, you wont be disappointed.

We stayed at the Capri Hotel in Malcesine during the first two weeks of July 2014. The Capri is stylish and elegant with many modern features and decorated in a mixture of traditional and modern design. Everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is only a short stroll to the centre of Melcesine from the Capri and the lake views at the front of the building are superb. We had a room at the back with a view of Monte Baldo. We really liked our room as we found it to be quiet and peaceful and shaded in the late afternoon so didn't get too hot and uncomfortable when we were getting ready to go out at night. We liked to sit on our balcony on the comfy reclining chairs with a cold beer. They provide fridges in the room to store drinks. The best thing about the Capri is the delicious food and if you like fine dining you will like eating in the Capri dining room. The service is excellent and the staff are very efficient. The breakfast is self service but the four course evening meal is waiter service. The food is well presented and there is not a chip in sight. However after the first week we did get a bit board with eating in every night and treated ourselves to a meal in one of the lovely restaurants by the harbour. The hotel is set back and up a hill. As we are fit and healthy we didn't find the bit of a climb getting back to the hotel a problem every time we went out but it would be a challenge for anyone who has difficulties with mobility.

Room Tip: The rooms with a lake view are popular but if you don't want to pay the extra cost make sure you...

We have recently returned from a week at this excellent hotel. As mentioned in previous reviews this is a really friendly family run hotel.
The town of Malcesine is lovely with a good selection of bars and restaurants. We found a little bar which was shown on the Thompson welcome meeting as part of their walk around the town called Oasi,The views of the lake are excellent and service and prices are very good.
The meals in the hotel are excellent, breakfast plenty of choice and the dinner, which you order the day before is really tasty and of a very high standard.
The hotel has all the extras you would expect of a higher graded hotel, sauna whirlpool and gym,
We would return as a week was not long enough to see all the sites. We did the Venice trip which was a long day but worth it,A trip by ourselves to Mount Banco ,the Castle and Limone we crammed into the week but all were excellent

We stayed in Hotel Capri for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed. Location of hotel is very close to the centre of Malcesine but most valuable thing on this hotel is perfect and very warm service directly from family running this hotel. Evening relaxing on the terrace with view to historical centre and the lake was really beautiful. We can recommend this hotel and we hope to come back again.

We finally managed to get back after 3 years, oh how wonderful this hotel still is. Last time we went we did so much we didn't have a lot of time for Malcesine or the lake. This time we spent more time in and around the resort and hotel. We spent time around the pool, but there is also a fantastic terrace on top of the hotel with fantastic views almost all the way round, this is usually a little quieter than the poolside, we used to take wine up there late evening and watch the sunset, and to see the stars. Let me say the hotel is still as fantastic as the first time we went, from the hospitality of all the staff to the food and cleanliness of the hotel. Emil and Marco still can't do enough for their guests. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
We travelled with Thomson again, I do like the new way they do their welcome meetings instead of being in the hotel they actually took you on a walkabout round Malcesine which was very interesting with the knowledge the reps had and you could see exactly where all the recommended amenities where.
We didn't do any of the organised trips as we did lots last time. This time we did more of our own thing, we did walks on monte baldo and the lake. We took the ferry over to Limone. We caught the public service bus to Verona (as we wanted to visit some gardens) which I was worried about doing, it was so easy to travel this way. It was only 5 euro 60 each way, you are better getting both your outward and return tickets from the bus station/tourist information, it is cheaper then getting them on the bus. They have lots of info in there and maps to help you get around, the buses run about every 1/2 hour, it takes about 2 hours to Verona but it doesn't seem that long as it is so scenic for most of the journey, there is a screen on the bus which tells you which is the next stop, We will do more independent travelling next time possibly trying the train from Peschira. We will be revisiting this hotel and resort again with no doubt, hopefully in the not to distant future. We think Malcesine is the best resort for location, the ease of getting about to different places also there is plenty to see and do there. We love Lake Garda it is so clean and the people are so nice, always making you feel welcome wherever you go without pestering you like you find in many other European countries. All this make such an enjoyable holiday.

Room Tip: The lake views are spectacular, it is so nice to wake up to that view every morning, both times we h...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Capri and I must say that the Hotel was absolutely fantastic and we had one of our best ever holidays.
There are many components to a great holiday and this family run hotel more than played it's part. It is well located in this delightful shore side town, a 10 minute walk into the centre. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and dinner cooked to order.
Marco and his staff, Enrica especially, go out of their way to make sure you have a good holiday and their attention to detail does not go un-noticed.
The service we received was far better than it's 3* rating, in fact we have been to 5* hotels and not been looked after as well as we were here.
Because of the fact that the town is built on the hillside the hotels' ground do have a few sets of steps to navigate but that cannot be helped. Please do not let that put you off visiting this hotel especially if you are looking for a quiet place to stay whilst you explore this wonderful part of Italy.
A number of the guests, both British, Italian and Germans appear to return here year after year and we can see why. We shall definitely be back!

Room Tip: The lake views are excellent but the views of the mountain and it's Eagles and Buzzards are wort...
