Thanks to all the team at Villa Cheta Elite for our last week stay.

Despite the weather, you made our stay wonderful and had always the best proposals for what to visit even at rain.

Great hospitality, wonderful atmosphere, perfect food.

Love from Cologne Germany!

Overall this is a beautiful hotel, well cared for and very helpful staff throughout. The room was lovely with a magnificent view over the sea - excellent selection for breakfast and the walk down to the beach a good way to walk off all the calories. The food in the evening was acceptable but not as memorable as the rest of the experience- will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel.

In this great location the food was average due to French cooking complexities instead of a simple heavenly Italian cuisine.
The materials are excellent, the cooking was not

Since it was raining heavily during our stay ( so , luckily we had no problems with the mosquitos) we had four meals in two days in this restaurant . To our great satisfaction . We didn't found the portions small but they were very refined .Back home I copied one of their dishes (small lobster with melon and grapefruit ) to great pleasure of my guests..
The man and woman who served us were friendly ,helpfull and complaisant .The interior as the outside of this hotel/restaurant have great style .
I want to add some positive remarks about the hotel .The lady of the reception was very helpfull (had to make an urgent call to Belgium and my cellular was out of order . She simply took hers and made the call . No charge). There is a valet who drives your car to the parking , carries the luggage to your room (something that is more and more uncommon ) ,parks your car again at the spot you have chosen and deposits your keys at the reception . These things are very apreciated by me .
It is not cheap .
I would , if I had the opportunity , go back and stay longer this sime .

We ate here twice while staying at the hotel. Despite high hopes, both experiences left a lot to be desired.

The setting overall is beautiful - up high on the coastline with a view of the sea, surrounded by flowering plants and trees. The only negative was the background music from hidden speakers which was both too loud and consisted of bad covers of music from the 70's.

The menu consisted of a set meal (3 courses plus desert, with 3 choices for each course) at E38, which changed daily, or a la carte. Both were disappointing. One would expect the basics in Italy to be done right. However the bruschetta was dry, and the pasta was virtually inedible.

The chef must have got a special deal on cinnamon. it appeared frequently on the menu. While chicken with cinnamon was passable (as a concept, the execution was still poor), fish with cinnamon was just an unpleasant combination all around. The lamb chops in spicy sauce (that another reviewer commented on) in our case were very small "rack" chops (3 of them) in a nondescript breading. No spicy sauce to be seen. Side dishes were also uninspiring.

The wine list consisted of a reasonable selection, albeit overpriced, and the service was excellent - the staff were very attentive and worked hard bringing food up from the kitchen on a lower level.

i would agree that the extras (water, coffee etc) were also higher priced than normal, and drinks from the bar were very expensive.

On the second night the mosquitoes were so bad that we decided to have coffee on one of the other patios. As we explained to our server why we were leaving, he waved a spray bottle of bug repellent at us and said "we have this - which you can put on before you sit down to dinner". hmmmm.....

Overall a poor, expensive experience (twice)
