Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

We stayed 4 nights (Feb27-Mar3). The staff was most helpful in seeing to our every need. The breakfast was a good option during our stay - ample and good. We rate the Antica Villa Graziella a definite 'thumbs up'.

hello,... i phone this hotel in order to reserve a room..the person answering (in the afternoon) in my case, was very rude and with sufficient manners!!
we accepted the room anyways, just because it was late and we were tired.
the price for a double room in this 2 stars hotel, was 72,.....and then they also add automatically
some more charge as the soggiorno or something.
we were asked to pay the room and charges in full, up on arrival,
because we could not hand a credit card,.she said that they had problems before with some customers or something,..terrible way to answer,..very unprofessional!!!
the room was ok ,... but the washroom was very small,..and shower without the box.......so water was going all over,... soap were missing and all..... it was a disaster.
the breakfast was ok,...but coffee' was very bad.......... service was with an attitude,...and rude too.
i would like to let you know that, without us travelling you would have to get a real job!!!!!!
the front desk staff,.. at this cute hotel,....should be retrained,...or give the job to someone that loves this profession.
there are many much better hotels in marghera, and less expensive then this, with much better staff, and you can park inside without having to hand in the car keys,.......this is mad.
p.s. always pay with your credit card, so they are forced to make the right bill.
good luck to you,..avoid this hotel.

Dear Sir,
Good morning, I am sorry to read that it was not satisfied with the overnight at our small hotel.
I must confess that apart from the truth about the lack of a shower box in the bathroom, his description, does not reflect all our hospitality that usually love to offer our guests.
But is sure to have been our guest ???
The rudeness, lack of professionalism and bad coffee, are not at home, not in our villa.
Also I would like to point out to you that our parking is very small and it's free and it's for both issues, for emergency, for our insurance and also of practicality, we ask all guests to leave the car keys at the reception. Alternatively, there is the free parking across the street in front of the hotel, Via Luigi Coletti is a very quiet street and then your car can be parked without problems.
Finally, while respecting your judgment, this is the first time that someone says that coffee is bad, I would like to state that are more than 13 years that we use this coffee because it is one of the best and most expensive in this area besides being a blend of 100% Arabica to!
Regarding to the payment of the stay, each guest is free to pay as and when it prefers, on arrival or departure by credit card or in cash in any case prior to check-out and a receipt is issued with included taxes paid.
I would like to remind you and other guests that the fee is a fee due, not to the hotel, but the city of Venice and thus cannot be included in the room price !
At this point, I wish good luck to you, it seems to me that from your Tripadvisor traveler's profile, which in 10 years of traveling you're not been very lucky with none of the other hotels you visited !
Thank you anyway for your review.
Sincerely
Roberta and the staff at Antica Villa Graziella

Nice, clean B& B. a short bus ride to Venice. The hotel is small and in a somewhat residential neighborhood. Very nice and helpful staff - they gave excellent directions. Wonderful restaurant recommendation, 'L Giardinetto, just 1 1/2 to 2 blocks away (ate there 3 times, very reasonably priced). Bus stop is very handy as well as train station. Used the combo public transportation ticket for a better deal and keeps your options open - bus, water taxi, etc., and you can buy these right across the street from the hotel. Small rooms, but that's not a big deal to me. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 1 was a little tight, room 2 had a bigger bath.

We turned up early and couldn't book in, fair enough! We left the car and went off to Venice on the bus. The bus stop is an easy walk, and buses are regular. Tip - if you are planning on getting tickets in Venice to use the water buses, don't buy a return bus ticket to the hotel - buses are included in travel passes. When we returned at 9pm we were greeted and a phone message from our next days tour guide passed to us. As the plumbing in our booked room needed repair, we were shown to a 2 bedroom apartment across the street. Wonderful!! It was clean with most things there we would need. The apartment had a kitchen which was not quite finished however. Getting excited about seeing a kettle (not common in rooms in Europe) I was dismayed to find it was for a cooker or stove, and despite a cooker hood in situ, there was no cooker. Another fault was that the shower leaked. I found these faults strange as the rest of the apartment was so lovely and we were lucky to have it. The breakfast both mornings was help yourself, and we all loved it as there was lots of variety for adults and kids alike, breads, croissants, meats, cheeses, chocolatey things and the most delicious hot chocolate. We borrowed a guidebook on Venice from the bookcase, and when we got fed up of Venice and the prices, we came back and went to the recommended pizza restaurant just up the road, which was amazing in terms of flavour, ambiance and price. The owner has a big map on the wall to direct you , and the supermarket is a couple of minutes walk. If you are debating whether to stay in Venice or on the mainland my thoughts are that if I'd had the money I would have stayed in Venice, just for the convenience of going back to the room occasionally, rather than knowing I was out for the day with the children. However this hotel is very convenient, about a 20 minute bus ride and a five to ten minute walk to/from bus.

The room was a good size. It was air-conditioned and had two beds. There was free parking and free wi-fi, though I had to go to the lobby to get a good signal. We were able to buy bus tickets at the hotel and the bus was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Another 10 minutes and we were in Venice! We passed on paying for breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The only problems I had with the room were both related to the bed. First, I pulled down the sheets and found several hairs. I was too tired to do much about it and only stayed there one night. Second, the beds were too hard for my taste. Others might like them that way. Really everything else was great.

The hotel is located outside Venice in a quiet territory. It is too easy to get to the hotel and to get to Venice from the hotel. The hotel is located from 10-15 minutes walking distance from Mestre Train station; It takes 5 minutes to get to the bus stop to catch a bus to Venice; in just 10 minutes you are in Venice Rome Square.
As I guess it is a family hotel with nice staff; the hotel has a little beautiful garden with flowers, you can sit there and rest (though we didn't have time, as we returned to the hotel too tired to stay in the yard). The room was little but comfortable. We had a small a balcony, Ac and TV.
It was value of money!
