As many other reviewers have already noted, this is a nice little spot within easy reach of the main Venetian attractions. Good points include: Friendly, helpful staff; good breakfast; comfortable rooms; close to major and minor transport connections (e.g. bus stop to Venice right around the corner, which is 15-20min away). Only real irritant for us was a cramped shower with poor water pressure. Overall, certainly good value for money (especially by Venetian standards) and we would return.

We stayed the first week in June and I found no faults at all with this hotel, though we couldn't book in until the afternoon we arrived at the hotel at 1100hrs but they let us store our case, helped us with tickets and maps and gave a fantastic first impression, when we returned later that day the staff carried our case up to our room which was a lovely touch.
Breakfast in the courtyard every morning was lovely and the freshly made croissants and fantastic coffee was a great way to start the day.
The hotel was easy to find from the bus stop and getting into venice couldn't be easier and it was nice to be off the island every night for some peace and quiet.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable and let's be honest you don't go to Venice to sit in your hotel room.
Again on the last day we had a night flight but they let us store the case at the hotel and collect later. All the staff were wonderful, polite and attentive and anywhere that plays the Beatles in the background during breakfast is good enough for me.
Would highly recommend.

My wife and I decided to stay at this hotel on the mainland rather than stay in Venice. We are glad we did that because it was nice to come back to this hotel located in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood. The hotel is easy walking distance from the train station. The hotel is located within a block of a bus stop that offers a direct and fast bus connection (#6 or #6/) to the bus station in Venice. The front desk folks sell bus/vaporetto combination passes of various types. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but very acceptable, and was nice that there was a patio option to eat breakfast out in the fresh air.
The minor disappointments included a very small room, small single beds, a very small walk-in shower, very few electrical outlets, very soft pillows, very tiny bars of bath soap, and a very small TV. There was a large free-standing closet. The AC was adequate.

Villa Adele is on the main land mass and hence need to take a short bus trip to get into main Venice. the bus stop is just 100mts away and takes into the city in about 15 mins with buses every 10-15mins frequency. The hotel though is ok for a short stay as it provides only the basic amenities and breakfast. One of the receptionist actually had the nerve to hint he expected a good tip from me (though I was planning anyways to tip them). Good food options nearby though it might be easier to eat in main Venice and come here just to sleep. There are no elevators here and if with a lot of luggage will have to have the receptionist carry it for you.

I’ve waited more than a week to write my review of the Hotel Villa Adele so that I would try to put the hotel in perspective with what occurred while I was staying there. First the review of the hotel and then the reason I want to be fair in my review. The hotel room was fine, clean with a balcony and the wifi was decent. The hotel is a five minute walk to the bus, which takes you right into Venice where you can catch the water buses to explore the city. This was great and we were glad that we stayed outside Venice.
Now the bad experience.
When we checked into the hotel, we were warned that it was best to keep the windows closed after 6pm due to the mosquitos. Unfortunately, we were not warned to be extra wary of pickpockets at the bus stop. Immediately after boarding the bus, I noticed that my wallet was missing. It contained some cash, my credit cards and some items, including the wallet itself that only meant something to me. You can imagine the panic and frustration of having to ride the bus to Venice and then catch the next bus back to try to get some help. We returned to the hotel and I told the woman at the reception desk what had happened and asked her to call the police so I could make a report. She replied that the police would not come and I had to go to the police station. OK. She gave me the address and my wife and I drove to the police station. This was on a Saturday morning. When we arrived at the police station, there was a locked gate with a push button intercom. We pushed the button and asked to speak with a policeman. A fellow wearing a police uniform came to the door (we were still behind the locked gate) and told us the police station was closed. OK. We told him that my wallet had been stolen and we wanted to make a report. He said again that the police station was closed and we would have to come back on Monday. OK.
My problem with the hotel is that we stayed there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The theft occurred on Saturday morning. Not once during our stay did anyone ask us if we needed help with what happened. An offer of someone translating for us or explaining that the police are only open during the week would have been appreciated. I didn't schedule the crime very well. The staff was aware of what had happened as we learned when checking out on Monday morning. I really hope that if a visitor to America has something like this happen to them that the people they are staying with at least show an interest in helping them out. This did not happen at the Hotel Villa Adele which made a bad situation feel even worse. Other than that, it was fine as was my experience with the Marghera police department. :/

Dear Guest,
we are more than surpise to read about your bad experience during your stay in Venice.
From May to September our city know the inflow more relevant of tourists and this is well know by some drifter coming from east europe trained to pickup wallet ; but this "activity" happen in every city, not only in Italy.
A episode like your one is happened two years ago to another guest of ours : you can understand that with this frequency is difficult to let warried all our guests about this possible event. Many other things could happen like slip on a bridge step or fall into water with a gondola ride or find that a strike of the public transport is going on, etc : shall warry our guests also about that ?
Regarding your specific case it is not true that all the staff were aware about your case and I can assure you that the bad impression you have received doesn't correspond to our way to manage clients problems and even we understand your frustation for the unlucky episode happened to you we are not agreed with your comment.

Great wee hotel just 2 minutes to bus stop then 12 minutes by bus to Venice. Rooms are basic but clean, linen and towels changed regularly. Breakfast is buffet style but with plenty choice.
We didn't realise we needed a ticket to get on the bus and went on with 20 euros to pay. After standing in the bus for a few minutes we realised we should have bought tickets at the hotel and scanned them on the bus. The ticket can be used multiple times on the bus and water buses.
Venice is a great place to visit and the hotel was the perfect base. Surrounding restaurants are great especially the Capri where we had a two course meal for 4 ( all steaks) with wine for under €80.
Having read previous reviews we were confident in booking the Adele and we were not disappointed. We emailed prior to visiting to request low floor rooms and were on the ground floor which was better for my elderly mother and her friend. We booked transfers via hotel and were collected promptly from the airport and back again. All in all we had a great holiday and would use the Adele again.

Room Tip: No lifts in hotel so email hotel for lower floor if unable to negotiate stairs.

Booked this because of trip advisor reviews. All accurate, hotel clean, breakfast is fine. Staff were all very friendly. No elevator- if you have mobility problems request a room on the ground floor, however if you are not very mobile then Venice may not be the place for you! From Marco Polo we bought a bus ticket from the machine for €6 each. The number 2 bus finished at Mestre station. From there we walked through the under pass, and continued along the road for about 10 mins. There is a round about , look for a telephone box, follow the road and you will see a sign for the hotel. We then bought a 2 day travel ticket from the hotel. The bus stop for the 6 and 6/ bus is round the corner and takes you directly onto the island, and you can then use any water busses. You are supposed to scan your own ticket on the bus, we mostly could not get near the scanner as the busses are very busy. No one ever checks you have a ticket! The hotel is in a nice local area and the local restaurants were very good - food and value, in comparison with the island. Venice was beautiful, we visited the other islands, Lido and Murano, and walked miles around the streets of Venice. On the Saturday there is a very large local market close to the hotel-you could buy anything! If you are cruising, catch the bus to the island and across from the bus station is a terminal where you can catch a water transfer of €1 each. Alternatively you can get of the bus one stop before on the bridge near the port and walk to the terminal. We did this, it took 5 mins.
Feel we got a bargain with this hotel as the transport is so easy to get into Venice. Would defiantly stop there again. Others on our cruise were not so lucky with their hotels.
