Stayed there with an entire family of all age groups. 4 Kids 3 adults 7-16 and a 61 year old. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport take the 15 bus from Marco Polo to the hotel and exit the bus right after the traffic circle after you cross the railroad tracks and highway after Mestre. The bus to Venice is on the corner No. 6 and in 10 minutes you are at Piazzale Roma. I loved the location and the pizzeria that they talkabout is awesome and well worth holding your appetite for your return to Marghera. We liked the hotel the coffee in the evening is nice for 1.50 euro for a large American coffee. The rooms spotless and nice, bathrooms amazing and hotel very quiet. It is very much like a family b/b but it was nice for us with 2 triple rooms. Breakfast was decent not special compared to other places we stayed but it was easier than eating out and free with teh room. I booked the room for 6 and we had my 40 pound nephew with us. He was charged 5 euros for breakfast and never ate but a muffin. All in all, I would stay again.

My husband and I booked our 2-night stay ahead of time at Villa Adele after reading such nice reviews here on this website. Usually when we travel we don't book too many hotels in advance and like to find them once we are in the area (yes, it's risky, but it typically works well for us). We do not do so on our trip to Italy. So imagine our disappointment when we arrived right in Venice with no idea how to get to our hotel, and a staff member at the train station told us the hotel was across the bridge in a town called Marghera. This guy was nice enough to call the hotel for us, and the staff at the hotel gave him a few options for us to have as to how to get there.

In the end, all we needed to do was catch a bus right next to the Grand Canal, and take it about 15 minutes to our stop. The hotel was literally 2-3 minutes from this busstop. The buses came so frequently that I never felt like I had to wait. Therefore, while this hotel is not right in Venice where all of the action is, it really is not such a misfortune in the end.

As for the hotel, we couldn't have been more pleased. It seemed to us to be family-run, and it was totally quiet at all times. We weren't there much, but we slept extremely well at night. There was no elevator from what we could tell but our room was just up a small flight of carpeted stairs and it was not difficult to carry our heavy luggage up to our room. Our room was spotless and the bathroom was quite spacious. The bedroom itself was a bit small but very comfortable for the two of us. In the morning for breakfast, one of the hotel staff personally took coffee orders and made it for us in the way we requested (rather than having a pot out on the table for everyone). The staff answered all of our questions about directions and how to get around. One in particular also enjoyed practicing his Spanish with us while my husband practiced his Italian. The hotel generally was aesthetically pleasing, clean, and quiet with wonderful, helpful staff. Overall, it was a great stay and we would go back, location or not! It's location, while not ideal, did not impede with our experience in the old part of Venice at all.

Rather than pay high prices for accom right in the middle of venice and to get away from the hussle and bussle - this hotel offers good value. It only cost 1 euro on the bus to venice and bus is only 10 min trip. and drops off just around the corner from the hotel. A bit tricky finding place - if getting off train at Mestre station - follow signs on platform to Maghera. It takes you through a walk thru tunnel and you just stay on that same street after tunnel exit until you come to a park in the centre of a 5 way strret system - about 5 minute walk. Then turn right and then take first left and you'll see hotel. Hotel recommends a local restaurant to eat and it was well worth the few euro's it cost for a decent size feed. Pasta and pizza made on premises and were all under 10 euro's. Friendly people both at hotel and restaurant.

Unless you are wealthy enough to afford hotel in the actual Venice on the lagoon, this is your best choice. Small boutique hotel, in a very nice green upscale area, 50 metres from bus stop, from which there is frequent 24/7 bus service to Venice. 5 minutes walk to Mestre/Margera (one and the same) railway station. Rooms and bathrooms are small but spotlessly clean, everything new and fresh. Breakfast are excellent(tea, coffees, juices, chesses, cold cuts, yogurts, pastries, fruits etc.). Staff are VERY helpful, especially with advice on where to go, eat, entertainment, railway schedules etc.
I definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for the Venice Biennale art festival and were very happy with it. I had spent several days checking out hotels on the main islands of Venice and was shocked at how expensive they were, which made me look to the mainland. Marghera where the hotel is located is a quiet-ish suburb just at the head of the road/rail causeway into Venice and about 15 mins by airport bus from Marco Polo.

As stated, the hotel is reasonably close to the Mestre train station. However I wouldn't walk to it at night, not for safety reasons, but more because I think it would be easy to get lost (it's a little dark and street signs aren't great).

The hotel itself is on a very quiet residential street and is a small but bright and very clean place. The staff are very friendly and obliging, particulalry the lady who mans the reception in the morning (she speaks very good English). The old boys who man the desk in the evening don't speak any English, so you're better making any complicated requests to the morning lady.

Our room (no 8)was nice - airy, clean and comfortable with great air-conditioning, if a little on the small side. We did manage to peek into the neighbouring rooms the next morning when they were being cleaned and they were alot bigger, so I can only guess we got the last room in the place. The bathroom is bright and clean with a good shower and facilities.

The breakfast buffet wasn't bad - cereal, croissants, bread, cheese ham etc. Enough to keep you going until lunchtime anyway, all served by friendly staff.

The bus into Venice is just around the corner and takes about 10 minutes to Piazzale Roma, from where you can grab a vaporetto to wherever you want to go in Venice.

There is also a very good little pizzeria about 5 mins from the hotel (Il Jiardinetto, I think - the reception has cards) which was very inexpensive and friendly - and alot cheaper than places in venice.

All in all, a very pleasant surprise to find so nice a hotel at such a decent price in one of the world's biggest tourist rip-off cities! Definitely recommended (and I'm very fussy about hotels...)

The little inn suited in a quiet area and they offer good value and the inn is just right next to the bus station and there is a service direct to Venice. Room is ok and the staff is helpful. I may try the other hotel next time

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days.It was a small hotel,a few minutes away from the Mestre train station and too close to the bus station.(from which, you go to the island of Venice)The room was small, but very clean. The breakfast ,although there wasn't a variety of food,it was sufficient. But what we liked most, were the people who worked there and specially, its owner. The were all very kind, helpful and willing to give us any details concerning Venice and its sights.
