My family and I spent 17 nights here and enjoyed the hotel very much. The hotel is immacualtely clean. The rooms are nice (although balconies when existant are minuscule), the pool is amazing (36 m length for the main pool). My main qualm about this place is the internet. I have never felt so cut out from the world. It was literally impossible to connect to the internet from the room or the pool. You had to be in the lobby to get online. Really? Is this even possible in this day and age? The hotel staff came up with some excuses about this but the problem persisted. When my father tried to explain to them that this issue can be resolved pretty easily from a technical point of view, they were dismissive. Bottom line: if you want to explore southern Tuscany or have children, this is a great place overall. If you need to perhaps work online or just read the news by the great pool, think twice until the WIFI is fixed.

My husband and I had a great week at this hotel and would thoroughly recommend it. The highlight was the fantastic 38m swimming pool which also had am area for small children. It provided a lovely centrepiece for the whole hotel which is very smart and very clean. Our room was very comfortable and had everything you need except a kettle with tea and coffee - but that's probably just an English thing!
Breakfasts were great - lots of choice. Traditional Italian cakes, cereals, fresh bread and rolls, yoghurt, water melon.
We found the reception staff to be really helpful and all spoke good English.
There is Wi-Fi at the hotel, but not everywhere and not in our room. It didn't really bother us. We went and sat at reception and logged on if we needed to. It was free.
The hotel is perfectly located a few minutes walk from the beach and they have a deal with a local beach bar for reduced price sunbeds. This is a bit misleading because the hotel info says they have a "private" beach which implies the sunbeds are free. They are in fact 15 euros for two sunbeds and a parasol (23 euros to everyone else!). The beach is sand and perfect for families with small children as the sea is very shallow for a long way out and there are loads of things for children to play on.

Room Tip: Our room faced out on to an area covered in pine trees and was very quiet.

The photo of the pool on Booking.com is the only good thing about this overrated and badly managed hotel.
Just a few gems:
No decent Wifi. You need a different code for each phone it connects ever so slowly and cuts off every time you switch off. Need to start all over again. I paid a heap of money to roaming charges.
Bar pool is under the rooms there not one chair in the whole hotel in the sun apart for pool chairs.
No seats on public terraces which have been closed off
Air conditioning switches off when you leave the room and you have to restart it and reset it from zero each time you come back.
The atmosphere in general is that of an hospital
Marina resort is a dump with no decent bar or restaurants
The whole

First impression was wow for location, luxury, and the very friendly staff that spoke many languages. Next dat we were surprised with a nice breakfast near the huge pool. We only visited the spa and healtcenter shortly because we prefered to stay on the nearby beaches.

All questions were answered quickly and adequately, we were treated as special guests during the whole stay. When we left very early in the morning (5.30) a nice breakfast was setup for us, we felt royal. Special thanks to Fabrizio who gave us that special feeling

Room Tip: Check for WiFi connectivity, This is not strong in every room

Had the warmest, friendliest dinner at Marina Di Grosseto, and then we had the coldest, unfriendliest reception by the front desk of this "posh" hotel here.

The first thing we heard from the mouth of the receptionist was "nothing is free", when we politely enquired about the basement parking.

Hello? We may be of Chinese descent, not Europeans, but we are rich, educated professionals. We are not paying you peanuts. Do not treat us like we are rubbish, with your airy uncouth attitude.

Rubbish customer service. Don't know why you had such a high rating. Would never recommend it to any of our friends or contacts holidaying here in Grosseto.

We give fair and very good reviews when it's warranted. When it's rubbish, it's rubbish.

Stayed on a conference, think we were mainly the only people there as still off season in the little town of Marina di Grosseto. Check in good and reception staff always helpful. Pool and sauna etc superb, breakfasts were ample and always fresh supplies if pastries, fruit, juices, hot drinks etc. Modern styling of the restaurant was intriguing, a bit like a cruise ship, perhaps that was the idea as its next to the pool and the beach. Food reasonably good with the odd interesting offering using the local fish..Bedrooms large, mine had a small balcony overlooking the pool....Close to the beach for wonderful morning or evening walks along the Maremma coast, or popping in to the Bar Buddha. Some other restaurants further along in the town, including a nice pizzeria. All in all, a nice and pleasant stay

Beautifully modern hotel and facilities. Room temperature not easily managed without a call to the desk. Wireless internet without strong signal was a definite inconvenience. Adequate buffet with inconsistently cooked food. Coffee machines modern and very nice. All of our passports were in the wrong room slots which was anxiety producing. Hotel very nice to hold our bags in a room after checkout.
