Our family of 12 ( 8 adults over 18, 4 children 12-14 ) spent 3 days at Nonni. We had a very good time. The downside was the temperature inside the house , especially at night . There was no air comditioner, or fans. This is why I gave 4, not 5 stars. At another time of the year, it would be 5 stars. This would be an ideal spot in spring, early summer or early fall. Who would have expected a heat wave of over 85 degrees in June? The yard provided a beautiful sitting area with a nice breeze. When it got hot at night , some of the teens migrated outside to sleep on the couches . There was definitely enough room that everyone had their own space . WiFi could be spotty due to the number of people and volume of online use. There are some restrictions by the city. But, if you are not a teen, or not working remote, this is not a huge issue
Shopping and beach are conveniently located nearby . It is a very convenient drive to Cinque Terre, Pisa and Lucca. Pietrasanta is a beautiful town. Wish we had more time to explore it. We had a very aggressive itinerary to explore the area.
The owner was extremely helpful with information about the area and accommodations. When I asked about a specific cafe that I found online, she advised that the area surrounding it was not the best. She is fluent in English and that helped a great deal. She even arranged a pasta making class for the family. Great fun!
The other downside was that the clothes washer was currently out of service, and unable to get repaired prior to our arrival. Be sure to pack enough clothes that you can get by, if you need to in this type of situation. There is a laundromat in town, but we decided to wash clothes by hand and let dry outside.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this Casa to other families thank you, Gloria for sharing the family home.
