We have just got back from two weeks at the Hotel Andreaneri. We arrived quite early in the morning and received a friendly welcome from the reception staff. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was ready for us. It was large and airy with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was clean and everything worked (nice shower with plenty of hot water). The balcony was big enough and we enjoyed the views of the mountains and hotel grounds. The hotel is set in beautiful, well maintained gardens. We would have liked an outside light on the balcony so we could have sat out in the evenings.

The hotel was very quiet and all of the staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. The hotel is exceptionally well run and spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was the usual continetal hotel style but the food was topped up regularly and the tables re-laid for the next guests as soon as they became available so we never had to hunt around for somewhere to sit. There was outdoor seating too. The evening meals were very good with plenty of choice and variety. We did not have lunch at the hotel.

The hotel is about 5 minutes' walk from the extensive beach which is very clean. The staff in the Bagno Ro Ro bar are charming and had plenty of time and patience with our limited Italian. The area is very nice with attractive streets and the main town is about 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. It is mainly bars and restaurants with a few shops but is clean and feels safe. The bars and restaraunts which we tried all had very friendly staff. We had no problems using the local buses to get around and found bus drivers etc. very helpful. We also enjoyed an afternoon stroll in the local woods - nice and cool.

We would certainly recommend Hotel Andreaneri. We couldn't fault it.

Great staff, always smiling and very helpful! Big, clean rooms, quite and well furnished. Close to the city center and the beach. Tasty food that one can enjoy al fresco. An authentic Tuscan experience!

My daughter and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel Andreaneri. We had a lovely time. The hotel was delightful, it was very clean, the rooms were a good size and the linen changed regularly. Generally the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, especially on the reception, where nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. We really enjoyed trying a wide selection of Italian food. We did feel the head waiter could have been more polite when we queried the wait for our dessert one evening. Having waited half an hour we were told that as dinner was served between eight and nine in the evening that is what we should expect, I don't think so!!
The hotel was less than ten minutes walk from a beautiful beach with every beach facility you could want. The" Nettuno" beach bar was excellent for a snack at lunch time and good value too.
It is a good idea to hire bicycles as this is the main mode of transport in the area and there is an excellent network of cycle tracks. Also the centre of Marina di Pietrasanta is a fair distance from the hotel.

The hotel is set in a quiet location, all the staff are friendly & helpful. Our bedroom 110 was a good size & was clean & well cared for, we had plenty of space & storage. The room was on the side of the hotel so we didn't have a view, it was good to have a balcony though. One of the best things about the hotel are the seating areas in the lounge area, very pleasant & comfortable. The bar was well stocked & we really enjoyed a drink after a day out or before dinner. The food is a little more tricky to evaluate, I am vegetarian & thought the dinner was ok, my meat eating husband was disappointed with the quality of the food. The breakfast was good particularly the fresh fruit. Dinner was at 8pm which we found a little late for our personal taste. The wine available at dinner was good, but we missed half litre house wine which we have had in some other hotels. We enjoyed a pizza one lunch time with a jug of cheaper house wine at the pizza bar a couple of streets away. So, good, clean & quiet but the food could be a little better.

We have just returned from our second visit to Hotel Andreaneri and it was just as good as our first stay. The attention to detail was perfect all areas of the hotel are very clean and tidy, the rooms and bath room were spotless. Breakfast and evening meals were very good with lots of local dishes. The pass for the beach was very useful. My wife and I will be returning again and thanks to the excellent staff and the owners.

A lovely little hotel with very pretty gardens in a quiet suburb about 10 minutes from the beach.
The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. The linen was changed regularly and rooms cleaned every day.
Perhaps the bathroom was a little restrictive in it's layout but we managed perfectly well.
The staff without exception were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble
Meals were very good, home cooked and always hot.My husband was in his element as he loves Italian food.Even I with traditional British tastes found something to eat and enjoy each day!
Portions for the main meal seemed a little small but nevertheless after four courses we never left the table hungry.
We could have had free tickets for two deckchairs and a parasol at the Bagno Ro Ro but didn't avail ourselves of these as we are not really beach people.
We did excursions to Florence,Pisa, Lucca and Siena and made our own way easily to local places such as Pietrasanta,Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio but the highlight of the week was the trip to San Gimingnano a beautiful hill town situated in lovely Tuscan countryside.
All in all we enjoyed our holiday but will not be returning to this area as we feel that to really see the real Tuscany you need to hire a car which my husband doesn't want to do.
Having said that, I would have no hesitation in recommending the resort to beach lovers who want the opportunity for some culture as well, and no hesitation in recommending the Andreaneri.

We have just spent a week at the Hotel Andreaneri and were extremely pleased that we chose to stay there. I do not agree with the earlier reviews about disappointing room sizes or food. Our room was large with (if anything) too much storage and the bathroom was a good size. The food we found to be excellent, home cooked Italian food. Nothing fussy or complicated, but just good, tasty, fresh, well cooked food which always arrived piping hot. The evening meals were four courses (antipasti, first, second and dessert) and chosen by the guests from the menu in the morning, for that evenings meal. We also had a large coach party arrive during our stay and the standard of the food did not change at all, it remained excellent. Every room has a balcony which is a bonus. The hotel is small, very clean with attentive and friendly staff. The guests have the use of the private beach during their stay, which includes the use of deckchairs and the swimming pool. The hotel itself is a short walk to the beach (7 mins) and to the small centre at the Marina (7 mins). The town is very bicycle friendly, with cycle routes along the sea front and on the main roads. There are bicycles to hire at a number of shops in town. The towns or Pietra Santa and Forte de Marmi are walkable (approx 5 km) but if you really want to explore the local area and avoid the truly awful Italian public transport system (which can add hours to a very simple journey by simply the train / bus not arriving/ not leaving the station/ stopping for no reason during the journey), I would recommend you hire a car! My only disappointment with this holiday was that the swimming pool for the guests had not opened yet because it was before the start of the season - but having said that, the weather was so changeable at this time of year that it was unlikely we would have used it. Do take an umbrella as the hotel is so close the mountains that rain is likely. Finally, although there is a hair dryer in the bathroom at the hotel, I would recommend you bring you own as it had all the drying capacity of a hand held battery operated fan (without batteries).
