This was the first of 5 B&B's we stayed at during our 12 days in Sicly. Celsa set the bar high and the rest did not compare to the welcome and helpfulness she showed. When it came to restaurant suggestions, driving directions or just site seeing, Celsa loves to help. The B&B was very clean and spacious.Customer service and comfort is Celsa's number one priority.

Chelsa was a wonderful host. Her BB was our best experience in Sicily. Her home made breads and Jams were exquisite. For what you get with staying with Chelsa, is truly worth more than what she charges and her location is perfect.

We stayed three nights in this wonderful B&B in the city centre of Marsala. The room was large and very tastefully decorated. It felt immediately like home. Celsa is a wonderful and amazingly energetic person who knows the city and is more than willing to help you finding your way. She knows all restaurants and can advice you the best. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this B&B.

We stayed at Il Profumo for just one night - and wished we'd booked for longer! Our hostess, Celsa, was warm, friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived at her beautiful home. Having made us a refreshing cup of tea (one of 40 kinds available!), she gave us a great introduction to the city, with recommendations for places to eat and for gelato (v important). Breakfast next morning was wonderful - we enjoyed delicious apple and cinnamon pie, jams (made from local fruits), freshly baked cannola and bread, all homemade by Celsa. Celsa's home is ideally placed in the centre of the old town, perfect for exploring the area on foot. If you are looking for accommodation in Marsala, look no further!

We had only one night in Marsala and stayed at this B&B. It is very well decorated, other guests were great, and her sunflower bread is awesome. This is very close to restaurants, a market, and shops. The bed is comfy, there is A/C, and a ceiling fan. The owner had great recommendations for restaurants; we wished we'd allotted more time for Marsala. NOTE: If you are driving and your GPS says to turn down a piazza and you see a white sign with a red circle around it - drive down the piazza. This is the way to get to this B&B. The little white sign with a red circle around it basically means 'local traffic only'. If you don't turn down the piazza, you will spend a fair amount of time trying to get here. It was worth it when we found it.

Room Tip: Get the room with en-suite bathroom. The other 2 rooms have a private bath but you must leave your...

We loved our stay at this B&B and meeting Celsa. Marsala is a great base for seeing Western Sicily, which should not be skipped during your time there. The city itself is very flat and easy to get around, manageable in size. There are many biking tours available, such as the salt coast, Marsala winery, and Motya Island. There are also several amazing restaurants, which Celsa will recommended to you, and also make reservations for you at. One thing I learned on my 2 week trip to Sicily, even in October (yes, the low season) is that you should always make reservations in all cities visited. If you visit Osteria San Lorenzo - make sure you get the molten chocolate tart for dessert - best dessert I had during my entire 2 weeks - you won't be sorry. The location of the B&B could not be more central and well located. Skip the cab from the train/bus station and just walk. It's a bit of a walk - maybe 10-15 minutes, but you can see the layout of the town on your way and also it's flat, like I mentioned. The room was beautiful and the bathroom even more so. We stayed in the room with the balcony, which was gorgeous, but maybe bring some earplugs, because it gets loud both at night and in the morning. This could happen at any B&B of course, but just bring some just in case. The breakfast was AMAZING. Best coffee I had during my time in Sicily. The pastries are so good and the jams! Celsa makes her own jams and they are delicious. I think my favorite thing I had while there was yogurt with pistachio topping. Yum! You will enjoy the food. Celsa gives you all the bus/train and other times you need as well as great advice on what to do and see while there. You should stop looking now and book your room at this B&B.

Celsa is a great hostess and her B&B is like home away from home. She had excellent suggestions for places to eat in the area and was extremely helpful in answering all our questions. My daughter and I stayed at Il Profumo del Sale for four days early in October. We felt like were staying with a relative, Celsa is very warm and welcoming. All areas of the apartment are immaculate. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Marsala and the west coast of Sicily. Thank you Celsa for making our stay so memorable.

Room Tip: While the balcony room is very spacious and beautiful, it can be a bit noisy at night.
