“Nice local reaturante ”
Reviewed 14 July 2014 via mobile

The restaurant is walking distance from the villa we were staying at in Massa Lubrense so we walked down late on a Sunday evening. Very charming and inviting. We ate outside and were quickly greeted by our server.
The food was ok, certainly not bad but I was not impressed. My fish was a little over cooked and a bit fishy.
The house wine wonderful. The people so nice. Maybe just a bad night for that fish dish.
It was very nicely priced. The cheapest meal we have had since arriving in Italy. €60 for 3 people. 3 entrees and 1 bottle of wine. So for the price it's a nice place to get a quick dinner. And we love that we have a place we can walk to eat.

“If you like traditional Sorrento food”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

More traditional Sorrento style food than gourmet style (far from Michelin one star level). We chosed the two tasting menus. They were good as for getting a taste of local dishes we otherwise did not try but it way to much pasta and plain tomatos style dishes (even if season for tomatos) Wine was quite average. Good that they had local products like the cheese, but we could find much better cheese at local supermarket.

“Marvelous food, charming atmosphere”
Reviewed 5 May 2014 via mobile

We have visited some restaurants in the neighbourhood, based on the hotel concierge's recommedation. But the only one that we decided to visit again and again was La Torre. Food of highest quality. Service (Tonino and his beautiful daughter) not only professional but just friendly and competent. Everything priced modestly. Recommended for everybody that knows Italian cuisine and is able to appreciate the charm created by this family. One of important reasons to come back to Massa Lubrense.

“Not a good day but we hope it is better than that”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

We went with a group of friends after a indication of the owner of the house we rent.
The rest is very cute and its a family business.

We sat in a table next to the kitchen and we heard loud noise lots of time....as family does (discussion)....we know that italians are known to speak loudly but for sure wasnt just a normal conversation.

The waitress was the daughter and she was very nice always.

We ordered the "menu degustacao" with meat but the starter came with fish....ok...but than the primi piati also came with fish and it wasnt good at all (pasta with tomato sauce with fish), we asked to change....they changed and came one pasta with ricota that was ok, not veeery good. For The second piati they brought us pork chop....only this....come ooon ....its the cheapest meat at the menu that wasnt cheap !!! We were disapointed !! And they forgot the selection of cheese which was part of the menu.

One other pasta we ordered was very good and the price was perfect (10€) . The fish of the day and other fish our friends ordered was excellent!

At the end...we just suggested more attention with the menu degustacao and the noise at the kitchen !!! ;)

“Loved everything about it”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

My husband and I were only customers on a rainy Sunday evening, but were made to feel welcome and treated to excellent food. The house wine was great. Try the chocolate cake and chocolate covered strawberries. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!!
