I found Olga's on owners direct and wasn't really too sure what to expect when we pulled up at 11pm the night we arrived. We were a large group of 7 & managed to fit very comfortably into apartment 'Saturno'. Olga's shop is just over the road and we found everything we needed to put together some authentic Italian meals. Alfonso was a brilliant host driving us down to the Marina del Cantone whenever we wanted & picking us up as late as 12.30am if we wished. The town is really gorgeous, a perfect example of an Italian fishing village. There were several great restaurants down on the beach I'd suggest wandering around and trying different ones out for yourself. Everyone is incredibly friendly and good English was spoken if you're not fluently Italian like me! The pool at the apartments is lovely but we did find it got cooler up there earlier so the private beach was just perfect to relax on until as late as 7pm, so sheltered and secluded you feel like you have your own corner of paradise.
Nerano was the perfect place to stay and we found it really easy to navigate our way around the area, even got very familiar with the bus & train routes. It took us a little while to get to Pompeii (which took close to two hours travelling) but it was so worth the journey, Sorrento was really beautiful & a 45minute direct bus ride from right outside Olga's gates. We jumped on one of the day boat trips to Amalfi & Positano which I would highly recommend- you get off at each town for more than 2 hours & get to wander around at your own pace without a guide & can do as little or as much as you want to. Both towns were spectacularly beautiful. Positano was my favourite & a MUST SEE, taking a walk up through the bougainvillea covered avenues was just stunning. Because there was seven of us we decided to hire out a private boat over to Capri with our own skipper for the day, if you can afford to do it this way it was really worth it as you get the personal local information from the local skippers & they make an effort to do everything you'd like to do. We swam through the green grotto which was jaw-droppingly beautiful. Definitely spend some time at Marina Piccola & head up to AnaCapri, it's a short taxi ride through the town & be sure to get the chair lifts up to the top viewpoint (well worth the 10euro fee) & also visit Vila San Michele while in the AnaCapri area.
We had a wonderful stay, made so much more fun by Alfonso and his very welcoming family. I would highly recommend Olga's Residence to any of my friends/family. It was far more affordable than most places in the vicinity/on the actual Amalfi coast but I felt like we didn't miss out on anything. Massive thumbs up from us!!! Thank you :)
