We stayed at this hotel in august 2012. Parking your car is a big problem. Every time you have to try to get in - and out the ridiculous small parking lot without bumping into another car gives you a great headache. Beware of the fact that this is a 100% Italian run and owned family business and that there are hardly any other tourists than Italians. Speaking some italian is no luxury as they do not speak English very well. We are not sure if the fact that we were no regular Italian tourists ( most families use this hotel every year ) was to blame for it but for sure we received an old room just above the bar area. We protested but there was no alternative. Not very friendly the staff, we felt very disappointed. The airconditioning did not work very well, the rooms are old and in need of renovation. You go back into the sixties. Little by little however ( we stayed four nights ) we learned to apreciate the laid back atmosphere and the stunning views of the blue ocean. We liked the restaurant and the food although not first class was very decent and the waiters very friendly. You decent to the beach by elevator ( that stopped working one day ) and the beach is just great. However in case of a tsunami, how unlikely this may be, this is a deadly trap as there would be no way out.

First sight in this hotel is definitely capturing. My wife and I chose a beach hotel mainly for the location, and this couldn't be better. Courtesy of the owner and professionalism of most of the personnel is another important aspect. Rooms and furnitures would need some update and upgrade.

Room Tip: In Sept the best is the top floor, rooms with terrace. In hoter months the best is the north-east s...

The hotel is located in a very nice creek and the view is fantastic. However, it feels like an hotel which was built a few decades ago and was never brought up to the latest standards. The restaurant room looks like a cantine (and the food is average), the rooms basic and the beds horrible.
The beach can be reached using a lift with a glass door, which is very nice, but it was for us not enough to decide us to stay more than one night. We would certainly reconsider when the hotel rooms will be renovated.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. Rooms need improvement but they are clean and they do have A/C. The beach is the best- phenomenal- (no bathroom ) so be aware of that. Kayaks are free lots of other water toys . Beach area is well managed and you will get a chair and umbrella. The restaurant serves a fix menu we had no trouble with the food ,it was all good. But make sure to order your wine ,wait a few minutes then order your food; otherwise the food may arrive before the wine. Pool was also nice an big and full of families having a good time! in the afternoon hours..

Room Tip: Try to get a room near the reception. # 74 was great!

After driving up the coast from the otherside of Bari, it was wonderful to come to this beautiful and peaceful family run hotel set amongst the pine trees and overlooking the bay of white cliffs and beautiful blue sea (after enduring a most miserable 2 months in the UK). The net result was we extended our stay. The food wasn't high class but it was all freshly made in the kitchens and not imported from factories, and it varied every lunch and dinner. Yes, the rooms are a bit old fashioned and need a refurb and the Wifi was very slow indeed, but the location and friendly service more than make up for it. The beaches are very attractive but you need beach shoes because of the pebbles - and the pool has a proper deep end, good 4 to 5 metres and with a diving board! We were staying in early June before the season really started so it was not at all full.
Note that the nearest towns are some 10 miles away so a car is essential.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main block have views onto the sea. Rooms in the other blocks are in amongst the pine...

we spent only one night at Baia delle Zagare. The environment is very nice with the huge garden surrounding the buildings, the 2 beautifil beaches accessible by an elevator and also the view is stunning. unfortunately the rooms are quite old... Everything was clean and tidy but the doors, the furniture and the details are very cheap and old styled.
the2 beaches are beautiful and very well equipped. you can get an umbrella (included in the room rate) or also rent canoes or water equipment.
The hotel has its own restaurant but the timings to serve meals are absolutely wrong and too early. You cannot order food later than 9pm...
The breakfast is served on a huge convention center. There is not a lot of choice and the waiters are all very rude. Also at the reception 2 out of 3 people were very rude to me when i asked info on how to get to a restaurant closeby.
Last but not least, the hotel is full of families with babies. Every room has its own terrace so basically if they play or cry outside their terrace you can hear them as if they were in your room.
