The quality if the food for dinnerwas very poor, it was bland and there was not much offered.
Breakfast was very average for a hotel of this quality.

We ate as an (English-speaking only) party of 9 for lunch. Pizza/pasta/osso-bucco with risotto Milanese - all was good (esp. The risotto). Service was good although the owner does seem to rule with an iron fist.
The terrace is stunning.

I think this is one of the best restaurants of Menaggio.
Best experience in last evening.
Romantic view and good service. Nice traditional menu.
Great steaks and tastefull food at all. Good value for money.

On a recommendation from our hosts we took the gamble, and weren't disappointed. The view, exceptional and one of a very few in Menaggio who don't have a road passing by between you and the lake. The menu, whilst not extensive does have some great dishes. The local fried lake fish is very generous and tasty, as is the vanilla ice cream. The salt cod ravioli was also very good, as was the espresso.
The hardest part about coming here is the staff. I think the owner rules the roost and thinks she's doing is all a favour by treating her staff very poorly and they don't respect her, and therefore don't respect their guests. A shame, had the service been better it would have been a better review. If you go there forwarned about the service, you'll have a great night.

My first meal in this restaurant was over 30 years ago. I hadn't been back for ten years. Now, the food is still mostly traditional, honest and tasty, and the view just as magnificent. Sadly, the service in the restaurant is poor: a waiter forgets that you are not on a fixed menu and insists that you are not allowed to order cheese. Then, while attempting to pay, a waiter insisting that PIN & PAY MAESTRO cards do not work and sticking my card in his machine in every conceivable direction. I was also put at a table directly at the entrance which was not a very quiet place to sit. I had been thinking about going there again tomorrow and perhaps ... well, again in the future. I think I'll stick with my memories and go somewhere else. Poor service is poor service.
