“Did not want to leave”
Reviewed 7 August 2010

We stayed at Hotel Aaron for 2 nights, and just loved everything - the location is good, a few minutes walk to the train station to Venice, the decor of the hotel and the rooms are fantastic - modern, bright, clean. Good breakfast, helpful staff, free internet for the guests - we wished we could stay longer, and can definitely recommend this great hotel.

Pros - It is like new. It has been re furbished and in all the hotels we stayed at in all of Europe, would rank this as the best out of all we stayed at in the price bracket. There was nothing we could fault in the presentation of the room. It was perfect. Flat screen TV, mini bar, massive shower and bathroom, free wifi and computer with internet access, bfast included cereals, fruits, breads, juice and chocolates or cakes. There is a laundro mat 5 mins walk, 5 min walk to Mestre train station, which goes directly to Venice. Eglisg speaking staff that were helpful. A supermarket is 2 mins away, where we purchase dtiems and placed them in the mini bar to save some money. Reception is open till 11pom, but you are given an access key for after hours entry. This hotel was perfect in terms of presentation, and I dont too many people could find faults with it.
CONS - It is not in the heart of venice, but 5 min walk to train station, 1 euro for a ticket and your in Venice in 15 mins. I dont think for the same money you can get a better hotel. I would highly recommend.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and our 4 year old boy for two nights in April of 2010. The hotel is small, but rooms are very comfortable, furniture is new and modern, our room (and I guess all the others too) had a big LCD TV, and very spacious bathroom. Staff is very pleasant. There is also free wireless Internet, and since in my room signal was somewhat week, I got the network cable at the reception desk, so I could use line connection in my room, also for free. The choice of food for breakfast was good, the only downside was quite small dinning area. Hotel is on a very good location, 5-10 minutes walk from Mestre railway station, from which you can reach Venice by train for just 1 €, trains are running approximately at 10-15 minutes intervals. Also there is a bus stop just around a corner on the main street, so you can easily reach Venice by bus. Hotel has a private parking (10 €/day) which is a good thing, as all other parking places in Mestre are rather crowded or under an hourly paying scheme.

Booked the Aaron Hotel as a step to Venice for the following day. Late evening flight arrival (and the prospect of any delay) would see us trailing cases around Venice when we should be chilling - so we opted for a stop in Mestre. The Aaron is about 300m up a main road opposite the station entrance. A short walk back to the station with some bars and restaurants around the area. The Aaron itself is very modern and very clean. The staff were pleasant and competent. I got the impression that rooms had been condensed to fit a few more in, however I would gladly live with this because of the cleanliness and overall modernity of the place. Did the job and very pleased with my choice.

I would recommend this hotel. It is a very nice small hotel The staff is nice, the room is very clean. The location of the hotel is great is you want to visit Venice and Italy, from the Venice Mestre Station you can take the train to anywhere in Italy ,Florence, Pisa, Rome , etc ..and of course to Venice which is just 1 stop (10 minutes away) and cost only 1 Euro.
We stayed in the Room 303 dowstairs. Twin room. The bedroom was comfortable and cozy and the Bathroom was new and nice. (11 Apr to 14 Apr).
Breakfast room is small but nice and the food that they have for breakfast is great!
Many Thanks.

This small hotel is located in Mestre on the mainland, rather than on Venice island itself. Mainland hotels tend to have lower rates than equivalent hotels on the main island, and it's hardly an inconvenience: Venice island is just a short bus ride away on the frequent ACTV bus number 2 which stops close to the hotel. Travelcards for riding the ACTV waterbusses in Venice also cover bus travel on the mainland, including to and from Marco Polo Airport.

My room was possibly the smallest room I've ever stayed in (there was about 12cm clearance between the end of the bed and the wall). However, I can live with that- the main thing for me is that the room was clean and modern. The double bed (actually two singles put together) was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, with a good shower in a cubicle (nowhere to put the soap though!).

For such a small hotel, the buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, with a reasonable selection of food, including fresh bread rolls and cakes.

The hotel reception (officially) closes at 21:00 every night and you are given a code to let yourself in through a side door- I'm not sure what would happen if, on your first night, you try to check-in after 21:00 though, if no staff are around? I dread to think.

The staff, especially the girl who checked me in, are very friendly though.

I would definitely stay there again...

Thank You Andy for your review,
only to specify that our recepcion is open until 11:00 pm and we have a "24H desk" with the hotel in front of us. So no problem for late check-in or any exigence during the night.
And of course you' re right for the "soap dish" in the shower. We are gonna put them!!!
Hope to see you another time in Venice,
kind regards
Leandro
