We stayed here on our visit to Venice! It was great...huge bed, large rooms and clean bathroom. Fantastic smelling shower gels! Surrounded by some hidden restaurants with delicious food and a front desk man who made a good stiff drink or two at the bar! Breaky was abundant and delish.

Within 10 minutes walk to the train, straight to Venice's main station which was in 2 minutes walk
To the grand canal...worth every penny. For those looking to stay out of the hustle of Venice, and don't mind a short train ride, this is your place. They even had room for our gigantic van on site!

Expect a small tax on leaving..almost a standard across Italy. (Around 10 euro for our group).

stayed here recently on a trip to venice, the check in was swift even though there were a few people in front of us. the room was very clean with a good size bed,
didnt have breakfast as found a coffee shop just around the corner that done coffee and a cake for 2 euros.
only a few minutes from the bus stop that you catch the bus to venice on, (no 2), buses are frequent although dont run to the advertised timetable (didnt wait more than the 10 minutes though)
would recommend as clean and cheaper than staying in Venice itself (as long as you dont mind the 30 minutes round trip)
The wifi connection was good and very reliable.
bar prices in the hotel were ok and competitive with Mestre

Wow! The greeting you get at this hotel makes you feel at home right away! Kudos to Monica (the most pleasant girl at the front desk - forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) and her amazing over-the-top friendly service and bubbly personality. Her sidekick Dmitri (from Greece) was warm and friendly as well. Simply put... we were fans right away! Complimentary drinks were in the fridge waiting for us which was a very nice touch. The location is perfect for day tripping into Venice as it is very close to the train station and you're not paying the exorbitant prices of staying in Venice. If you're traveling as a family, saying in Mestre is the most logical choice. The optional European breakfast (8.50eu/person) was very good with plenty of food and a good variety of cold cuts, pastries and fruit. We had two rooms for our family of five and we had the best sleeps of our trip. Lots of room and very comfortable beds. I highly recommend staying at Villa Costanza... just wished we stayed more than two nights.

Quiet, nice, very well decorated and close to the railway station (10 minutes by foot) to Venice. Parking available at a reasonable cost.Staff friendly.
Breakfast not very extensive, but high quality products. A little bit expensive, so think about and alternative if yot budget is limited.
As a curiosity, you have to pay tourist tax by cash.

We travelled to Venice in February 14-16th, 2014. We chose to stay in Mestre both for the price as well as the discomfort of moving around the centre of Venice carrying luggage. We read lots of comments in order to choose our hotel and we ended up in the area of Mestre and Hotel Villa Costanza. The area is clearly underestimated by most of the reviews! The streets are quite with nice small houses and we found it very cosy to walk it around! There are also a couple of very nice restaurants were most of the clients were locals and with magnificent food in reasonable prices. The Hotel was worth every penny: friendly staff (Dimitris the receptionist from Greece was our favorite), very clean rooms, 1 minute walk to the bus stop for Venice Center (10 minutes distance by bus - tickets can be purchased at the hotel reception) and 5 minutes walk from the railway station! We strongly recommend Mestre and Villa Costanza to anyone who does not want to spend a fortune to stay in the Center of Venice and who also does not want to be all the time among the thousands of tourists wondering around the canals!

Stayed for just one night but wish we could have stayed longer. It was only a few blocks from the train station so we walked dragging our suitcase. We took train into Venice. It was very nice with A/C without paying extra ! Quiet hotel, but not a lot of places to eat nearby, no problem as we were going into Venice .

As we had a car we decided to stay a bit out of venice and this hotel was perfect!

It was a 5 minute walk to the station and a 10 minute train ride to venice. Not to mention 1.25€ each way

The suite was perfect. Good shower (rather small though) good bed. Lovely, friendly and educational staff. It was a bit of a shame you couldn't eat in your room though but I suppose that's understandable

They do offer breakfast at an additional cost and also private car parking for 12€ a day. ( you can pay 2€ from the bistro near the train station for a crossaint and a coffee)

We also requested the balcony for our stay which was great to see our request actioned

There are also some ok places to eat within short walking distance

Thank you for a good stay!
