“Cosy and lovely B&B”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was very clean, cozy and free wifi. The owner was very friendly to help us check-in late. Seem everything made us feel as home. Basic and simple breakfast, but maybe that is normal for western breakfast. Good location, just walking 15 minutes from station and easy to get bus to Venice town. That is not in romantic Venice, but you will get very good sleep after walking in busy town.

Room Tip: Should check the date you come if you want to sleep early, it will be a little noisy until midnight...

Stayed here for two nights in October 2013. The room is clean, has the essentials and is comfortable. Pillows were utterly flat but apart from that no other problems. Wifi and honesty bar available in the room.
There is a café about 2 mins walk away, at the back end which does good coffees and breakfast pastries.
The main street to the hotel is not great at night but you can get a bus two and from Venice (no.2 bus) which stops close to the hotel.Alternatively you can walk 10 mins to train station and get the train.

Overall would recommend! Good value for money.

Stayed here a few days ago for one night. Clean , simple accommodation. Owner arranges to meet you, shows you how it all works and you don't see him again, You get a clean decent sized bathroom, a small room with bed, desk, small flat TV, in room safe, a small fridge, air con and honesty mini bar and a basic cold breakfast which is fine. Very well priced and secure. A bus to Venice is 50 meters away and it takes 15 minutes. Buses quite busy. Thought it was good for what I paid, especially for something close to Venice. Everything well thought out.

We arrived to this b&b at about 11pm, got in contact with the owner, checked in and in our rooms within half an hour, our room was next to the bar that had karaoke going on until midnight but this didn't bother us and only ever happens every Wednesday. The rooms were great, modern, comfortable and air conditioning. The owner also has a restaurant close by which I would highly recommend. Location wise it isn't that close to Venice but for a budget traveller was convenient and well worth the money, would definitely come back.

Wow! I was totally impressed by everything this place offered! We stayed here for 3 nights to visit last week to visit Venice. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable! We were met by the owner who was very helpful giving advice on the transport links to venice (bus stop is 1 minute walk from the hotel) and the timings along with maps and anything else we needed. The hotel was very easy to find walking straight up the main road from the Mestre train station. While as other travellers have said the European shower is quite small, the bathroom was very clean and modern - and a proper hairdryer!!!!
The owner also kindly recommended a nice place to eat (which he said was his family's restaurant) and it was absolutely lovely!!! Had such great range of dishes and i loved everything i had!! We went back again on our 3rd night too!! All of the staff there were great and helpful too! Overall we had a great experience here and would definitely recommend it and stay here again!

L'Affittacamere di Venezia
We stayed there for 2 nights to visit Venice and be prepared for departure on a 7 night cruise from Venice. This small, 6 room pensione, was very clean and comfortable. We arrived late Saturday night (around midnight) after 29 hours of grueling travel and were met by the owner. Although he spoke almost no English, we got along well as we were guided to the room and the lock systems explained. I will warn everyone, if you are BIG, the new European showers may prove a challenge to get into, the opening is barely 25" wide. Located in Mestre, on the mainland, the hotel was a 20 minute bus ride to Venice. The tickets can be purchased on the bus for 2.50 E but are about half price if purchased off the bus. I have seen reviews giving details about how to go to the bus, it is not that complicated. The bus stop is a block away. There is a small market very close and a few shops within a block. I did not get to explore downtown Mestre very much but understand there is more shopping there. There were 2 clothing stores close by, one had fashionable shoes including women's boots for 50E and the other had clothing as low as 2-3 E. There is also a "Home Shop" somewhat of a cross between a hardware store and a dollar store. Bought some essentials there, and an italian coffee maker, but not the highest quality. Adjacent to the hotel is a restaurant open for lunch and dinner, as I read the signs, but it appeared open for Sunday Breakfast too! They specialize in Crepes. The continental breakfast we were provided did leave something to be desired, it was very basic, prepackaged food, instant coffee. No coffee pot in the room. We did not experience any noise from the restaurant even though we were obviously right over it. We were able to leave our big bags in the lobby instead of carting them upstairs, a big relief since we did not need them except for the cruise. Overall, the experience was just what we expected, the room was clean, the people friendly and answered all questions we asked of them. The hotel is not very centrally located in terms of walking to the shopping area of Mestre, which would be condisderably cheaper than anything one might find in Venice. I would return, the price was right and the accommodations were very comfortable. Yes, the front door lock is very amusing. :)

Room Tip: No elevators, pack light.

We stayed there for 6 nights last week.
The room is quite comfortable and cleanliness is to a high standard.
The hotel is well located both for buses to and from the airport and also for going into Venice, which is 15 minutes away.
The room can be a bit noisy at times as the bar immediately below has a karaoke night on Wednesday until just before 1am, and bin and service lorries can make a racket in the morning.
Just about the only other negative point was that the tv had no English speaking channels, not a great deal really but it would have been nice.
We dealt with the owner several times and he is extremely pleasant and helpful-a good host.
