“A super hotel”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

We arrived at this hotel on 27th dec and we stayed here for two days. It had such a warm and welcoming feeling , straight away I felt relaxed. Check in was quick. This hotel felt so airy fresh and clean. Our rooms were very neat and tidy , it was such a pleasure to be here after we had some average hotel at other places. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff . On that night our dinner was included and I must say although we came in a big group we were treated well by the restaurant staff , they handled it excellently . They really went out of their way to make us comfortable and gave us good service. There is also another restaurant cum bar lower down the passage from normal dinner hall which serves good food and drinks. The reception staff here also very helpful and gives good service. Just outside that restaurant as you come out turn right on this road continue for about 10 mins and it will bring to a shopping mall called Auchan, there are many shops and restaurants and even a Mc Donald .It closes about9.30pm. The only downside is that the location Mestre is a bit far from Venice Canals waterways. The breakfast is good has quite a bit of variety and nice cappuccino coffee machine and service was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. There is also free wifi in the hotel. This Quid hotel is good value for money will recommend and hopefully if I come back to Venice I would rather stay here. This hotel is so peaceful and quiet.

We were not really visiting Venice, but going skiing in Italy, and using Venice Airport as a pick up point the following morning.
For that purpose, this hotel is fine.
Be aware though that the hotel is about 15 mins from the airport.... So it's not a true "airport hotel "
That said, they courteously arranged transfers on our arrival and departure (E 6 per person)
The place felt like a business hotel, and probably is. Stuck alongside a freeway, surrounded my acres of motor vehicle dealerships, this is NOT a romantic getaway !
Room was stylish, and quite large. The vinyl coveted 2 seater lounge was cold, slippery and distasteful. Bathroom was excellent.
Waiting for the restaurant to open at 7.30pm, we had drinks at the bar.... And the bar snacks were so generous , we didn't feel we needed to eat more !
Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of hot and cold food, grains, muesli and cakes. Coffee of course was very good.

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you for taking the time to share with us your experience at our BEST WESTERN PLUS Quid Hotel Venice Airport on TripAdvisor. We are sure that any comments, either positive or negative, from our clients are important to improve the quality of our hotel.

First of all, I would say it is our pleasure you appreciated our rooms and our F&B service: our team works exactly to meet your expectations.

Concerning our location, I would like to specify that the hotel is strategically located within the new commercial directional AEV Terraglio area in Mestre, close to the highway off-ramp and directly connected to the Marco Polo Airport by the shuttle service you mentioned. Moreover, this area offers a large selection of restaurants and some shopping centers, very easy to reach from the hotel on foot. Finally, it is easily connect with the center of Venice by using bus "Preganziol" for Venice - Piazzale Roma, that takes 20 min one way.

We are honored that you chose our BEST WESTERN PLUS Quid Hotel Venice Airport, and we will continue to do our best to be worthy of your selection. We look forward to a future opportunity to better serve your lodging needs.

Kind regards,

Francesco La Pietra

We stayed for one night in this hotel before our departure to ski resort in Trentino. Hotel was perfect. My kid enjoyed it very much(he got children pack with pencils and papers from reception. It was very quiet considering hotel is situated near motorway. Just perfect hotel to visit Venice or stay for one or two nights...

As I entered the hotel, I got positive vibes, great relaxing n soothing feeling....
Have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my travelling career of 38 years, but this one is really special.
At times, you can't explain what exactly was great but your nerves tell you ' hey, you are on top of the world'.

Room Tip: Large king bed, higher floor, un-inturrepted view.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel because we were travelling onwards after a stay in central Venice ( which is expensive between Xmas and New Year ). I read some comments from dissappointed guest who have negative input about the location. But if you look at the venue before you book, you what you get. This hotel is a fine hotel for visiting Venice without paying the astronomous prices in cenral Venice. The room was great, the service was great, the breakfast was OK, the transfer to the airport was Euro 6,- per person. The hotel offers a free auto- & boat ride to Murano. They bring you to one of the glass factories who have a deal with the hotel to bring tourists to Murano. The boattrip was in a private water taxi. Normally you pay Euro 50,- for such a ride. When we did not buy any Murano glass from their showroom I suggested to pay for the water taxi because I did not make use of free rides while buying nothing. But they did not want that. We think very correct and therefore a great offer from the Quid Best Western too. I think people who complain about the location ( 20 minutes by bus to Venice Plz Roma busstation for Euro 1,40 pp and a busstop nearby ) are non realists. They just do not want to pay double the price for the same value in central Venice.

Chose to stay in Mestre because the rooms in Venice itself were much more expensive, the hotels were not easy to be located, and I didnt want to carry all my luggages into the water taxis. Used the money instead to pamper myself with a 4 star hotel in Mestre.

Didnt regret choosing this hotel. My wife and I really liked the room. The room was simple but yet elegantly designed and spacious. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The toilets were posh and even had a rainshower. Wifi was fast and reliable.

Breakfast was superb with a variety of food and pastries. There was a variety of coffee from the coffee machine. The staff were real friendly and helpful during our stay. They spoke good English and provided us with maps around the area. There was an electronic sign board with the arrival/departure times of all the flights in the hotel lobby.

The hotel's name is a bit of a misnomer. It is located quite a distance away from the airport actually. There was an airport shuttle available, but it has only specific operating hours and you have to book it beforehand. It saves you quite a hassle to get to the hotel/airport if you manage to book it.

If you cant get the airport shuttle, getting to the hotel can be a little tricky. First, you need to find your way to the Mestre train station. If you are coming from the Marco Polo airport, take the ATVO bus to the Mestre train station (Euro 6 for one way, 11 Euro for return trip). The bus stops at the side of the train station. Make your way to the front entrance of the station and walk across the road where you will see a row of shops. You can purchase your bus ticket from one of those shops (I got mine from the shop called "Elite Limousine service"). The bus to the hotel is an ACTV bus line H2 (weekdays) or (34H on public hols) and the hotel stop is Villa Salus (cost Euro 1.30). The bus journey was around 20mins, and you can see the hotel across the road from the bus stop.

The hotel has good connections to Venice, so getting to Venice was a breeze. The hotel reception sells bus tickets – you can purchase them from the front desk at 2.60 Euros for round trip. However, the last direct bus from Venice to the hotel leaves Venice at around 20:30. If you want to linger in Venice till late then you'll have to catch the train to the Mestre train station and take the bus/cab back to the hotel.

There is nothing much to do around the hotel at night (and in Mestre, in general). There is a huge hypermarket called Auchan which is a 10 minute walk away. There is also an Italian restaurant called Rossopomorodo nearby the hotel which had reasonably priced food.

Conclusion : A really nice place to stay with a reasonable price, but getting to the hotel can be tricky if you dont manage to book the hotel airport shuttle.

Just stayed in Venice for 3 nights.

A lovely hotel to stay in. Not too far away from the canal! Only about 20-30mins drive or on bus. Best Western Hotel includes breakfast from 7-11am. There are meeting rooms, free internet access, bar, restaurant in a park or inside the hotel and a computer room where you can start searching. The beds are comfy and really good for all seasons. Bathrooms are always cleaned, refreshment box are always restocked, a nice TV with different channels in different languages and most of all, it's suitable for ALL people! If I or anyone else were to go to Italy again, I would recommend this splendid hotel!
