A nice hotel, just about 5 min walk from the Train Station in Mestre. That means you can get to Venice superfast, just walk back to the Train Station, get on and ride for about 11 min and you are right where you can start your beautiful day in Venice. And all without having to pay the "high" prices. Mestre is the last station before Venice and the hotel is spread out over several buildings. The room we had was nice, only thing we didnt like was the uncomfortable pillow. Other people might think differently, but we didnt like them. The breakfast was great and the staff very helpful. We were even able to purchase our Gondola trip right there at the front desk.

Plain old hotel. Nothing spectacular but the rooms were clean, bathroom was a little cramped.
Got to say though the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The fellas and the desk all spoke english.
Hotel is only a few minutes walk from Mestre train station + 5mins on the train to Venice.
For £50 a night for two people I think its great value if you just need a base to explore.

Note: This is written from an American perspective.

# of nights stayed: 1
We reserved Hotel Aaron but they ran out of rooms & stuck us at their neighbor hotel, which we never would have chosen.
Decor: Lobby looked ok, even nice. Rooms were old & peeling, furniture looked fragile, tiny television, refrigerator doesn't work
Bathroom: Tiny entry door that looked like a closet, step up to bathroom is a hazard, bath tub with hand held shower, no shower curtains so be careful not to flood the bathroom, very little shelf space, no place to hang large towels
Bed: Terrible!!! Two flat pillows & springs poking your back, I woke up with neck & back pain. Bed cover rough & unfavorable 1 out of 5
Wifi: Free but very slow bc the hotel didn't pay their charges for it yet
Breakfast: Not included. 8€per person, we opted out.
Parking was 10€ per day but none were available in their lot so we had to park at Hotel Aaron
Perks:Walking distance to train station
Worth the price? Hell no!!! Waaaayyy overpriced
Recommended? No

We stayed here in November 2012. We are a young couple 26. We stayed for 6 nights and we really enjoyed our holiday. Our holiday was to Venice and with Mestre only being a 6 min train ride away and hotel Piave being just two mins from the train station it's was our perfect choice as it is much much cheaper than staying in Venice. Our room was nice its not very fancy but its not shabby either. Its def worth the money we paid. The local area of Mestre is a little shady there is not much to do but with the fantastic Venice less than 10 mins away you wont want to stay in Mestre. We ate in a Chinese restaurant accross from the hotel twice and it was very good and very cheap! I also got my hair washed and blow dried in a hair salon accross from the hotel and they were excellent! The only thing about the area is that when it gets dark you start to notice girls on the street cornors Ira's not a huge issue for us as we spent most of our Time in Venice and just kept iud heads down walking by late at night in Mestre. Overall it was a great holiday and this hotel was at a great rate. We travelled a little outside Venice which was great Verona was only 2 hours away in the train and has some beautiful sites too and we got engaged there! It was a brilliant holiday!

We stayed for one night in August 2013. We arrived late and I was kind of sick so no time for research. The hotel is at about 10 minutes walking from Mestre railway station. The room was at last floor (4th if I remember well). Elevator goes up to 3rd floor, then by stairs but that was not a problem. Room with a funny, moldy smell with ants. Cleaning wasn't done properly as we find a long hair on the sheets. Very slow wifi connection. Breakfast (1. euros) was ok, but not impressive. Would't stay again.
