The hotel was fairly newly built and decorated in a modern style.
The rooms were clean and well-kept, pretty nice to have AC in the room.
The reception staff were really nice and helpful, they were happy to help show you how to get to various points of interest. Hotelet was across the street from the train station and very convenient That reception sold the train/bus tickets to go to venice/airport. The only bad thing about the hotel was the restaurant, arrogant staff and bad food. The breakfast was terrible, tasteless and you could see that the staff was rather tired of all the tourists.

This is a great alternative to staying in Venice as you don't have to deal with the inconvenience of dragging heavy bags onto boats and then figuring out where your hotel is in the rabbit warren that is Venice. You can buy train tickets at reception and Venice is only five minutes away. We found it really nice to be able to escape the crowds of Venice at the end of the day. The hotel is clean and the rooms are large by European standards. The breakfast is great, but tends to get quite busy. The best part of our stay, though, was the service at the restaurant and bar. Moreno and Morris at the bar, though, were the best part of our stay. They were so friendly, efficient and welcoming. Great drinks and they always threw in free food. The front desk staff were not as friendly, but the bar staff are second to none. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is pretty new and modern. The rooms are nice and clean...a bit on the smaller side. The washroom was huge and tidy. The location of the hotel is great as it is right next to te mestre station. We stayed here for our tripmto venice and woukd recommend it to other travellers as well.

The breakfast here is pretty average. You will get the usual...eggs, bacon, bread, fruits and cereal. They do pretty decent italian coffee.

Best Western is often my first choice for international destinations, so for my third visit to Venice I chose a more practical and economical approach to staying on the island. This hotel is on the mainland, one block from the train station and also a bus stop. Combo tickets for vaporetto are available at the reception desk, which I took advantage of. Staff was cordial. The room was small but manageable. The bathroom was clean with bathtub and shower. Breakfast was enjoyable with a broad selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, eggs/ham, and pastries. I would stay here again.

Excellent Hotel in a great location to visit Venice as it is across the road from the train station, trains to Venice run every 10mins and the best bit is you can buy your tickets from the reception which is a god send as Italian public transport is not for the feint hearted. And don't forget to authenticate your ticket before you board the train there is a little yellow box on the wall as you enter the station, I mention this as you are not told about it at any train train station and can be fined for not getting your ticket stamped.
We found the hotel excellent, the reception staff were very helpful, would highly recommend the hotel as a good base to visit Venice and will be returning in near future.

Excellent hotel, clean, large rooms, great facilities, good breakfast. Staff were very good and helpful.

It was easy to find via the airport bus to Mestre and just across the road to the train station to pop across to Venice. 10 mins on the train.

There isn't a great deal in Mestre, the train station seemed also to attract women of the night and seemed a bit seedy in the dark. Great base for Venice but don't count on much else to do.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel from 12th to 18th Sept. We stayed in a "Look room" which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice was good, bacon, egg, rolls, fruit, cereal, juice, cake, cheese, ham together with good coffee and a choice of tea. You can buy train tickets into Venice at reception, also 1 or 3 day tickets (1day=18 euros) well worth it as you can use it as many times as you want on the bus and the water buses which will take you to the islands of Murano and Burano and all around the grande canal ( It would cost considerably more without the ticket) Swipe the ticket on the bus, but swipe at a machine before getting on the water bus.
We found the easiest way to get to hotel from Marco Polo was the Shuttle bus (6 euros), stops 50 yards from hotel (Mestre Station stop), and you can get your ticket to return to Marco Polo from reception for 6 euro also.
Special mention for Barbara on reception who was cheerful and very helpful.
