“Fine, well-located hotel”
Reviewed 1 April 2013

This hotel is very easy to locate and is within easy walking distance of the railway station. We were greeted in a warm, friendly manner. The rooms were very much up-to-date and clean. The manager told us we could eat our breakfast outside if the weather was nice. The next morning there was a table set for us outside, and we had a very nice breakfast. Our stay made a favorable impression, and I am only sorry that we were staying there for only one night.

If you look for a quiet place to stay in Venice without having to carry your bags along the small streets and bridges, this is a fine option.
This Hotel has an exceptional location near the train station.
Nice, clean hotel, family friendly.
You will enjoy it.

We just came back from our trip in Venice. Since we are budjet travelers, so we decided to stay in Mestre instead of central Venice. We arrived at Hotel Paris at like 10am and we were allowed to check in after 10 minutes waiting time. The boss (we guess) who was sitting at the receiption was very kind, he gave us a Venice city map even without asking and told us where we should go and has given many other useful tips and we appreciated a lot! Wifi is for free, but you have to ask for the password every 24 hours. We stayed on the 2nd floor and we still have got the signal but quiet weak. The location is perfect, just right in front of the central station and it wasn't that noisy when we opened the windows. You could still hear something from the running train but you won't bother. The room is small but have everything you might need. Save, fridge, TV, hairdryer, clean towel, shower gel/shampoo (all free of charge). I personally love the color of the room and the furniture they used, lamps and chair are from Kartell which is one of my favorite designers. One thing which has little problem for my boyfriend is that our bathroom is very narrow. There is a "cleaning popo facility" in front of the toilet sit. So if you're a bit tall or fat then I think you should ask for anther room. The housekeeping changed the bath and hand towels every day but not the fitted sheet which was fine for us. On the TV there are lots of Italian programs, BBC, CNN and we actually wanted to watch German TV but they're got just a boring provider. Breakfast provides only cold foods, we had 4 breakfasts over there but only one time we've got boiled egg. Probably they had something left on that day and the next day we've got boiled egg again but they were cold. It would be better if they have hot breakfast like fried egg and sausage as well. In general, the hotel is small but they really have everything you need. The staffs are friendly and warm. So you really feel like HOME. Don't forget to pay 2.1 Euro city tax (per person per day) when you check out and make sure you have enough cash to pay. So we highly recommended you to stay at Hotel Paris, they are worth!

Room Tip: Pay more to get a bigger room! It's depend on your budget of course. :)

Worth to stay when you visit Venice by train. Room rate is reasonable. It is just 5 minutes walk from Mestre train station, about 10 minutes from Venice. Quiet location. New, Clean & Comfortable bed room. I will recommend this hotel to friends who will visit Venice by train.

I like it and will surely go back there when visiting Venice since it's few meters away from the train and bus station ... it's very clean hotel, not expensive and the staff are very friendly and helpful!! There's approx. 15 - 20 mins tram to Venice.

This accommodation is actually converted apartments around the corner from a pharmacy. The room was clean and of a reasonable size and had the advantage of a communal sitting area servicing 3 rooms where one could make tea or coffee during the day and sit and read if you wanted. In the breakfast room near Reception one can have coffee any time of day and they often have something to nibble on The reception is on the 2nd floor so one needs to carry luggage up these flights of stairs. There is a lift but midway between floors so you have to carry for a certain distance.
The position of this hotel is wonderful. It is right on the Via del Corso and close to everything Rome has to offer. I couldn't recommend this hotel highty enough for its location and the attentiveness of the owner/manager.
Breakfast is simple Italian fare but ok. If not early enough they run out of certain items at breakfast. The locking system is quite something. The accommodation is clean and staff friendly and helpful

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights to explore Venice. The location is in Mestre, very close to railwaystation. However there isn't much to see or do near the hotel.

Our room was pretty small but very clean. It was quite cold inside the room and I guess due to that my boyfriend got flu. I was a bit dissapointed to find out that our double bed was actually just 2 singles pushed together. We could also hear a lot of noise from other rooms and outside which was disturbing. I woke up couple of times during night because of noise.

Breakfast was ok, but the breakfast time was only from 7.30-9.30. which is a bit short.

The staff were ok as well, nothing special really. Just few ladies working at the breakfast room were pretty friendly.

It was tiring to travel everyday from Mestre to Venice. We bought the Rolling Venice cards so we could also travel by bus between Mestre and Venice. However I would not recommend bus especially for elder people because there were never seats available and the journey took around 30 mins.

I think this hotel could be ok for 1-2 nights but if you like to stay longer and your main interest is to see Venice I would recmmend not to stay in Mestre but in Venice itself.
