We have just returned from here and was very impressed!! Lisa off reception was very helpful. Room was great and overall I was really impressed with the hotel!! Easy access into Venice. BEWARE of tourist tax you have to pay when you check out (this happens in all hotels) it is around €2.80pppn.

Stayed at the Hotel Delfino for one night prior to a cruise.
Location very close to Venice & the port so suited us however
run down area and difficult to find from the bus station where we
were dropped from the airport.
Rooms very small but ok for the night. Restaurant expensive for
dinner and only average quality. Breakfast was ok. Staff generally
efficient but cool. Bar well set up and lounge pleasant while waiting
though full of American Airways crew. Overall only average and
main benefit was its location to the city.

Room Tip: Nothing I could suggest we took pot luck.

Hotel is conveniently located opposite the bus stop which takes you straight to the bus station in Venice for 3euros return. Be warned it is a fair trek to Dt Marks Square from there! Hotel was good, clean and family rooms were of a good proportion. Buffet help yourself breakfast was average with a selection of foods to choose from. The one big let down was the reception staff. We stayed here two nights, one at the start of our holiday and then again at the end and the check in and out was slow and tedious. So as long as you're not in a hurry, want a convenient 'budget' hotel then this is the place for you!

To be fair I agree with most of the reviews that stated this hotel as an average hotel.
It's ideally located to visit Venice and I found even better than staying in Venice.
You just hop on the 4L bus from the front of the hotel and in 10 mns You will be there(tickets can be bought from the reception)
Rooms were spacious but the bed was not comfortable at all and the walls are very thin(we could here our noisy neighbors all night)
Breakfast was much better than dinner so I would suggest to buy something from the supermarket next door or even better have a late lunch and skip dinner.
There is pretty much nothing to do after dark.
Reception staff was helpful.
In summary good budget hotel and ideally located to visit Venice

The hotel in itself was ok, but some of the staff were very rude. We paid €6 for the "premium" wifi option which did not work properly and they refused to give our money back! And when we spoke to staff about it they were rude and unhelpful. Buffet breakfast was ok.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August. We got a taxi to the hotel from the airport for 35€ and it's a good job because without a map we would never have been able to find it from the bus/train station, however, for our journey back to the airport we decided to get the bus. On two different occasions we asked the hotel staff how and where we got the bus, only to be told two completely different stories and then ended up being told by an Englishman in the hotel who overheard us asking that what the staff said was wrong and he gave us better but not ideal directions. Anyways it took 15 minutes to get to the bus/train station and we did a trial walk before we needed to get it just incase as we'd been told 3 different routes. Only 6€ for this bus too and 20mins to airport! The hotel in itself was really nice, transport links into Venice right outside your door, takes 10 minutes and frequent, although don't take notice of the times on the board, they're never right. We bought a 72 hour pass from the hotel for 40€. The area around the hotel though is basically desolate, most of the shops are empty and it's mainly residential. However, there is a supermarket right next door to the hotel which is really handy. We got breakfast included and it was quite nice, I read reviews about the eggs so didn't try them but they didn't look as bad as expected. There is bacon, bread, cereal, ham and cheese too and tea/coffee/juice machines. Our room was quite small but perfect for us, we didn't have big cases or anything. The beds were 2 3/4 beds pushed together, huge bed but a bit hard and pillows were flat. We paid around £60 a night and it was great for the price the only thing is the staff weren't very helpful or happy, when we checked in they didn't give us much Information, they didn't tell us check out time or anything, luckily you can find most info in room, you have to pretty much ask about everything as it seems they expect you to just know. We got a shock when we checked out too as we got charged €16.80 city tax, we heard about it but thought it was if you stayed 5 nights or more so bit of an unexpected expenditure. Also, if you need to leave luggage in the storage room make sure you have a lock on it or leave at your own risk, the room is right next to check in desk and door is not secured or manned, people come and go as they please, our bags didn't have locks and they were ok but it's a bit risky. They tried to charge us for a water In the fridge that we hadn't used but we didn't have to pay and wasn't a huge fuss. Would stay again for price and location!

The location is convenient because the bus to and from Venice is right in front of the hotel. A supermarket is located next to the hotel with fresh fruit etc. The breakfast was average and there is free wifi available but no one could connect. Even though the bedroom was beautiful and spacious, there were no kettle or coffee in the room and the espresso machine in the hallway was expensive. Some staff was helpful but it felt like you were bothering them when you asked for help.
