“Close to Mestre Train Station”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

I think the only reason you'd stay here is because you want a cheapish room near the Mestre Train station and easy access to Venice. It's about a 5 minute walk to the station. My room was comfortable. There was a safe in the room which was closed so I asked the receptionist to open it, but it didn't work because there were no batteries in it. He said the hotel had no batteries. Maybe you're supposed to provide your own - ha! Breakfast wasn't inspiring - filled the stomach but not much more. Staff seemed indifferent. They did a prepay authorization on my credit card which was fine but wanted me to pay for the breakfasts in cash so they could just use the prepay without changing it. Unfortunately, I didn't have much cash so couldn't. That seems more complicated than normal or necessary.

Room Tip: My room on ground floor seemed a bit loud at times.

We stayed here while visiting Venice. Was super close to the station (3min walk). Buses and trams stop right in front. Regional Trains run frequently from the station to Venice. Room was clean, small and the wifi worked fine. We didn't stay or pay for breakfast. Good place to crash for the night.. Who goes to Venice to hang out in a hotel room! Great price!

I don't recommend this hotel at all. Rooms were not neat and clean, although bathrooms were clean and ok for 1 or 2 nights. Quilts were not provided properly, Wi Fi Connection was really slow and broke in between. Food was horrible and we decided to not to go for breakfast the second day. The location was fine and near to the station but you need to be safe and alert with the nearby crowd

Simple 3 star hotel. Reasonable breakfast and workable internet.
Small room and small bathroom, but quiet and perfectly functional.
Next to trams that run into town ~ 10 mins
If Venice is a trip of a lifetime or a special event for you, the I strongly advise that you do not stay in Mestre. This is a working town. There are other resorts on the coast that have good bus connections to Venice.

Room Tip: Rooms are different sizes, so if this matters then enquire when you check in

Very disappointed with this Hotel. I usually don't write bad reviews but feel I have to say something about this place. I was told when I booked the hotel online that I would pay on arrival in the local currency, however 2 days before we were due to check in the money was taken out of my bank account by direct debit, I did not mind as it was just as handy to pay before we checked in. When we checked in we were told everything was in order with payment etc. However when we were checking out we were told there was a problem with the payment, the man we were dealing with at reception clearly didn't have a clue what he was doing and he asked us to wait for his boss to arrive...bearing in mind we were supposed to be leaving to catch a bus to the airport. So we waited for 15 minutes to be told by the manager that the payment that had been taken from my account was a holding deposit and would be refunded within 3 to 4 weeks but we would have to pay the total sum now. Having been told nothing about this at check we were very annoyed. On top of this there was a city charge due to be paid on checkout in cash only. We would have had no problem paying this but having been told nothing about this either at check in we had no cash on us and they wouldn't let us pay using a card so we had to run to the nearest bank machine to take out cash. The manager was extremely rude and shouted over us, it was the most shocking customer care I have experienced. We almost missed our bus to the airport. Just be warned to make sure you know how your paying because it was a very stressful experience! Also the area the hotel is in is quite dodgy, lots of gangs of youths hanging around etc, didn't feel very safe walking around. The rooms however were quite good, air conditioned and a good size. The breakfast was average. Close to the train and bus station and only 15 minutes by bus into Venice. Overall a very poor experience, my own fault for not researching it properly but I would NOT recommend staying here!

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights as it has quick access into Venice. The train station is just around the corner which is very handy and trains to Venice leave frequently. However, we found that purchasing tickets from the train station was a bit frustrating, as there were long queues waiting to be served (around 30 mins of waiting in line). The self-service ticket machines were unreliable and there wasn't anyone around to help on multiple occasions when the machine we were using froze. In the hotel itself, the wifi has to be updated with a new username and password every 7-10 hours. Other than that the place was clean, staff were alright and the breakfast was average. If we ever go to Venice again we think it would be better staying in Venice itself or on one of the islands.

The hotel is ideally located close to the train station and not a 5 minute walk from a bus stop. Clean and quite rooms despite the traffic on the street. Really good breakfast with scrambled eggs, croissants, fresh bread rolls, butter, jams etc. Helpful staff.
