We stayed from 8-12 July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We used the hotel transfer service from Marco Polo airport which took 10 mins and cost 35 Euros. Check in was simple & were given lots of information on how to get into Venice. We were then shown to our rooms. We booked a standard room but I think we were upgraded as our rooms were on the first floor. The rooms were plush with a huge comfortable bed. The bathroom was equally luxurious with walk in rain shower.

The hotel itself is decorated beautifully with comfortable furnishings. There is a lovely little bar which we frequented a few times. Great barman Giovanni looked after us very well & remembered what we drank after a few days.

The biggest draw to this hotel is the lovely swimming pool which is situated amongst the well kept gardens.

Breakfast is good with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal & scrambled egg, hash browns, sausages & bacon. My only criticism was the hot food was not very hot but the pastries & croissants were enough.

Getting into Venice was easy - bus stop was a 3 min walk from the hotel & if you went before 9.30am there is a direct service into Venice. Cost was 3 Euros return and took about 20mins.

Mestre was a 10 min journey on the bus or taxi. Taxis are expensive it cost around 14 Euros one way as opposed to 1.50Euros on the bus. Mestre was lovely with many good restaurants & a lovely square.

Unfortunately the hotel restaurant did not open in the evening which was disappointing as we were looking forward to eating in the Malipiero.

The ladies on reception were very helpful in assisting us with local transport & dinner reservations.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Barbarich & will definitely return.

Really beautiful place. Special building full of history. Green garden area. Swimming pool so great! Good combination to visit Venice but then come to relax in this peaceful place. Bus and tram connection to Venice is good, it takes about 40 min.

Clean. Beds comfortable. Breakfast not special but ok.

I recommend this place. It is lovely experience.

We stayed here for 9 nights from 26th June. The Villa is a great location for visiting Venice. Easy bus / tram ride in.
The Villa has a lot of great aspects to it...... the rooms are lovely , well equipped and spacious. The pool area and grounds are beautiful and very tranquil & peaceful. One of the best pool areas for chilling we’ve had to be honest. The interior is very beautiful with lots of old charm.
The only issue we had was with breakfast but this was quickly sorted once reported. The response was very quick and professional
Mestre itself has a lovely old square with lots of bars & restaurants which is only 5 minutes or so on the bus with the bus stops at the end of the road.
There’s a very large spar supermarket 10 mins walk away if you needs any bits & pieces
Overall a great stay in Mestre / Venice at a very charming traditional , well presented Villa

I was with a group of 8 other people and we had a great 3 days, in the hotel mostly, meetings etc. My room was more than satisfactory, scenery and food was great. The only thing could be developed is the selection at the breakfast probably; they shall increase the size of the buffet in my opinion. Bellisimo!
