“Excellent location and value”
Reviewed 4 November 2011

Value-priced hotels usually lack some part of good location, room, amenities, service but this hotel has them all, with a consistently friendly attitude of owner and staff. Breakfast served restaurant-style on a tray includes balance of protein and carbs (yogurt, egg, cheese, croissant, jam) with great coffee. Parking and English-speaking are limited but this place is definitely our first choice for next year's visit. Ida- Astoria, NY

Room Tip: Close full-shutter doors at night for extreme quiet and darkness, even on street side of hotel.

I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The owner, Luigi, and his staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was pretty good by Italian standards. They also provided us with a tray with fruit and water. We were able to park our car in the lot, and they did not charge us for the extra time after we had checked out. I usually stay in another hotel in Mestre, but they were already booked due to the marathon in Venice, but this hotel was very adequate for our needs.

First, understand that Maestre is an industrial suburb of Venice-no glitz and glamour here. The hotal is located 100 meters from the train station, where taxi's and buses are also readily available. There are also decent restuarants nearby. The neighborhood isn't the greatest after dark, so be careful as you would in any urban environment.

The Chinese owners/staff were very cordial and friendly. They speak very little English though we got by with them on my rudimentary Italian.

The rooms are small by American standards and about average for European and very clean. The hotel itself is a bit dated but clean and comnfortable.

Breakfast was included and consisted of a hard boiled egg, croissant, yogurt and coffee with some delicious parma prosciutto. Wireless and wired internet is available and was free.

Overall, if you're staying a few nights this is a good choice; if you're planning a longer stay, I'd spend the extra Euro's and be more confortable elsewhere.

I stayed in this hotel only for one night and I was statisfied. The room is clean and air-conditioned. The bathroom is modern. The staff is friendly. The owner is a chinese old man. He gave us some travel tipps. The hotel is very near to the train station Mestre. You can take the train to Venice. A ticket costs only 1 Euro.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel, so lovely that we had extended out holiday. Room was clean, functional. Bathroom was modern, and clean. Air conditioner was "iffy" thou.
It seemed to be run by one family and it definately had a feel of home with beautiful art in the stairway area.
The location was very handy, just make sure that you don't leave the train on the wrong station, you'll be walking for miles, I discovered just that, at midnight.

Well to start positively the hotel has a good location near the train station of Mestre so it is very convenient to travel to Venice (train runs each 10-15 min). Other positive thing is that wireless is included in the price.

Now the reality - despite the staff are very nice (owned by Chinease family), they cannot speak a word in English which makes it rather difficult to claim something or ask for something.

The rooms are small (my was such small that the table was blocking the wardrobe door...), the walls are super thin so you can hear literally everything. The breakfast is a story for itself - I stayed there several days and the breakfast were always the same. You get a small tray with one egg, ham, one piece of cheese, small jouice, coffee, croissant and that's it. Wanna more? No.

Low quality for price which is offered by better hotels in Mestre (e.g. Vivit or even Plaza).

Worst Hotel Ever! Looks fine but when you close the door and sleep, molding bed stinks, bathroom door moldy, black mold that made me vomit. did not sleep a wink while in the room, I asked for help, but hotel staff does not speak English, speaks minimal Italian, speaks Shanghainese (not even Mandarin)! Freak out. Hotel facade looks clean and inviting but rooms and beds are stinking moldy! Even the soap is from China and has chinese words, it stinks, I nearly vomited when I smelled it. I wish I could get my money back. Whatever you do trust me, this hotel stinks, worst of all hotel staff cannot help you once you have paid for your hotel. Who speak Shanghainese in Italy?
