We have been going there because every evening we have seen queues waiting to get a free table... At last we booked a table early enough and dressed up nicely.. The welcoming and the service were indisputably great, the location is very nice... Indisputably as well though, the food and the bill are just something you wish someone else would have eaten and payed for you, we had a paella which was not even remotely one, super dry fish, no rice, no sauce, no taste. our daughter had lasagne she seriously compared to dog food... Well next time when people queue up in front of such a restaurant, I will just walk by and smile... Before I forget, we ordered a tuna carpaccio and got a meat one..

We had dinner at Al Caminetto twice during our week's vacation in Milano Marittima. It was that good. They have the best pasta we've ever had. The freshest seafood and the most extraordinary desserts.

“Il Caminetto” is undoubtedly a “historical” place, considered to be the best where to be seen in town. The ambient is nicely kept and warm. The cousine, fish-based, has pleasant edges of creativity and will satisfy without excel. It is pretty chaotic in the middle of high season, although the service remains adequate. The cordiality and the the welcoming personnel need a mention, all done without too many formalities.
We can say the only “problem” is the bill: two people and a good wine and you can comfortably spend more than 200 euro.
You had to expected tho, but you will exit with a sense of incompleteness because your palate has not been as satisfied as the bill would make you think.
