What a gem. Close to the port and the ferries to the islands, adjacent to the main shopping area and restaurants, but a quiet location on a side street. The hotel was modern and clean and the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was a feast and room rates very competitive. Highly recommended.

Having scored two nights in the Aeolian Islands that we loved - do not forget to visit if you go to Sicily, we were faced with the possibility that due to sea state, not having ship back the morning of the day we had planned ,and thus deciding not to risk, we returned at night the day before. With this change of plans, we had no booked hotel in Milazzo, where we had left the car. In Lipari, just hours after the boat leaves , we went to the net and chose a hotel near the port, because we were arriving late.
What a good surprise. Conveniently located near the port, modern and elegant, yet simple and small. A good service, albeit with a breakfast a little confusing. The price of 90 euros a nice surprise.
For a brief stay in Milazzo recommend.

After catching the bus from the train station to the marina to buy ferry tickets to the Aeolian islands for the next day, it took us a little while to find someone that knew where the hotel was (forgot to print out a map), but in the end it wasn't too far to walk from marina along the main road. Small boutique hotel, very helpful staff who spoke English, generous hospitality, clean and stylish room with small Juliet balcony overlooking street. Great breakfast. Found the town to be okay, we strolled around by the water in search of somewhere to eat and enjoyed the Sicilian family evening routines that were evident while we strolled .

I only stayed in Milazzo because I was due to take a ferry early morning. I was glad I picked a nice place to stay even though I was meant to be backpacking, as I found Milazzo not a very nice place. This place seemed friendly enough and the room was like luxury after some of the places I stayed - very nice quality of room actually with very modern ensuite, tv in the room etc.

I stayed here for several nights and everything was perfect. The rooms are small but very clean with all the needed amenities. The air conditioner worked.... cutting through the Sicialian summer humidity. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful from dry cleaners to parking arrangements. Very nice and new little hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Cassisi in Milazzo overnight before setting off for the Aeolian Islands. It has very stylish decor - bathrooms/bedrooms all very upmarket appeal. Our room overlooked the street outside and had a small Juliet balcony. There was no outside area to sit and relax, but for us for an overnight stay this was not an issue. The hotel recommended a restaurant close by for our dinner which had very similar decor and we had a good meal. The clientele appeared to be mostly staying on business and I think a good proportion of them were doing the same as us and catching the early morning ferry to the islands. The buffet breakfast was vast and excellent. The staff were very helpful and organised garage parking for our car which we wanted to leave in Milazzo whilst we were in Lipari. Highly recommended for a short stay. It is very close to the ferry terminal.
