We stayed for 5 nights on Half Board basis at the Hotel du Lac. It was a short walk downhill to the lake and also a few minutes up hill to the pretty little village. The hotel was full with mainly older couples and some families with small children. The bedroom was large, bright and clean. We had a large terrace with a partial view of the lake and a very large bright bathroom. The buffet breakfasts were typically continental plus cakes. Evening meals were served between 19:15 and 20:00 and consisted of 4 courses, the starter and main course being chosen at breakfast time each morning. The dining room room staff were very friendly, super efficient and hard working. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and pool area, especially the relaxing hammock. Free mountain bikes were available to ride around the lake, town or further. Gloria the hotel receptionist was always happy to help in anyway and always with a smile. We had a quiet relaxing time at the Hotel du Lac and would return if in the area again.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better view of the lake.

Woods Coach trip for 5 nights. Hotel clean, but stained carpet in bedroom. no tea & coffee facilities in room, on third night we were advised tea & coffee was included in meal, bit late to be informed. Service was without a smile and drink your coffee quickly or it will be cleared away. Owners sat in dining room and eat with guests bit intimidating. Staff & owners had no personality maybe they were tired, it seems the first two weeks in June are out of season in this part of Italy and the tour operator should have been aware of this.

Stayed here for 5 nights on a Woods of Bognor coach holiday. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Disappointed that there were no in room refreshment making facilities as there had been on the way over and no free tap water on the dinner table. Thought bottled water @ 3 euros expensive. This was made worse as we were not advised of included after dinner tea/coffee until the third night but not the hotel's fault I guess. Hard boiled eggs appeared on the first morning but not seen again.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking Llake Malveno for a good view.

Very pleasing stay at this hotel. From the very welcome on arrival to booking out at the end of our holiday nothing was too much trouble for the management or staff. The continental breakfasts were more than adequate as were the main evening meals, although some of the menu options were debatable but then when visiting a foreign country you do have to be prepared to sample their cuisine. The waiting staff were excellent and very, very efficient. The room we had was large with our own balcony, cleanliness was superb. All in all a very pleasant telexing stay.

I stayed with a party of 38 doing a tour of the lakes and was very impressed with this hotel.
It is unpretentious with its simple but tasteful furniture very much in keeping with a mountain chalet hotel style. The food was excellent (Deer was on the menu) and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The Manager's/owners (a young couple) were very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The two young waitresses were excellent and had a good command of English. One of the highlights for me was a trip to nearby Bolzano for a visit to the museum to see the Iceman (Otzi) who was found nearby after being buried in Ice for 5300 years. You can view him in his refrigerated cell.
What a beautiful area and wonderful views from the balcony of your room. I would certainly recommend this hotel

The hotel itself was excellent, spotless and decorated tastefully and to a very high standard, the staff were. Very welcoming and extremely efficient.
The restaurant, as you can probably imagine, was also spotless and as advertised the food was sourced locally and included venison, veal, salmon and so much more.
The only thing I haven't mentioned is the superb location.
Please beware to ensure that you check out the time of year that you intend to visit.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. We have stayed at some of the best hotels throughout Italy but after now staying at Hotel Du Lac, all others pale in comparison. Prior to our arrival, we called & spoke with Gloria at the reception desk who was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had many questions and she was always eager to help. We were so happy to meet her upon our arrival as she represents Hotel Du Lac very well. All of the staff were extremely professional, helpful & efficient. The location of this hotel is brilliant with wonderful views of the Lago de Molveno and the Dolomiti Mountains. We had a junior suite with a view of the lake which was extremely comfortable with a very large bathroom which included a sauna. We were just a few minutes walk from the town centro, the lake & parks. The hotel lobby is very spacious with a bar and many different sitting areas in which to relax. Every part of the hotel was immaculate. But the hidden jewel is the dining at Hotel Du Lac. There is a wonderful breakfast each morning and Americans are even offered bacon & eggs if they so choose. But each and every lunch and dinner is the most exquisite gourmet meal. It was such a treat each day to discover what the Chef had in store for us. Each dish was prepared with such passion ~ the presentation was beautiful and the taste beyond words. This hotel is owned and run by a wonderful family, many of which are on site each day working in all capacities and enjoying getting to know their guests, which is much appreciated.
