“Exceptional Hospitality and Local Art”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

This restaurant was amazing, because even though the traditional Tuscan diet is not vegetarian-friendly the chefs provided great alternatives such as rosemary with lentils, grilled vegetables (egg plant, zucchini), pici pasta, and caprese. The business is also a great supporter of local artist, which adds character to the elegant restaurant. It certainly worth visiting, whether drinking a glass of wine, snapping photos, or a full course meal!

“Typical Regional cuisine”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

High standart of typical regional Tuscan cuisine, lovely please, nice staff serving with sympathy expecially Cris (Cristian that I believe is the owner of the restaurant).

Whereas in the area there are lot of overpriced and well evaluated Hostarias from Tripadvisor, which are not customized, serving convenience, taylored to the mass and tourist meal oriented, Villa Nottola offer instead only traditional dishes with fair price (considerring the quality carried out), with good presentation in a Villa from 18th Century. For Tuscany lovers is a must!!!!

“Promising but a miss”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

We went to the villa on a friday night but the place seemed deserted with just two other tables occupied which did not make for a great atmosphere. It was windy, so the promised view was blocked by a huge windscreen. The waitress insisted on speaking English with us even if her command of the language seemed shaky at best and my wife is fluent in Italian, which let to some really weird misunderstandings. Moreover, quite a few of the dishes on the menu, among which the fabled rabbit, were "regretworthly" not available that night. And after we ordered, service turned out to be dismally slow and inattentive. Not a good night.
On the definite upside, the food (once it arrived) was fabulous, with a really outstanding risotto. Too bad the portions were, unlike the price, quite modest.
